Salary banding: £30,000 to £35,000
Location: Cardiff, CF11 8TT (Hybrid, working 2-3 days in the office).
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role
We are looking to recruit an Internal Quality Assurer who will lead, motivate, and develop a team of assessors to enhance the quality of delivery across all learning programs. The goal is to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment for all learners.
Our apprenticeship program provides learners with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in working with Children and Young People, equipping them with essential skills for a successful career in the industry.
Your impact
• Motivate and develop a team of Assessors to ensure learners have a positive learning experience and that KPIs are consistently met.
• Develop the team of Assessors to improve the quality of delivery across all learning programs.
• Manage sampling and verification activities to support the progression and achievement of learners.
• Ensure all IQA activities meet the needs of learners and exceed the requirements of Awarding Organisations, Welsh Government, Estyn, and Itec.
• Oversee an ongoing cycle of standardisation meetings for Assessors to share best practices across all sectors.
• Manage delivery models and resources to ensure a consistent and standardised approach to delivery.
• Ensure literacy and numeracy are integrated throughout the learning program.
• Ensure Assessors embed cross-cutting themes such as Safeguarding/Prevent, ESDGC, Welsh Language and Culture, Equality & Diversity, and Health & Safety/Well-being.
• Prepare clear and well-written IQA reports, with sufficient detail to support and improve performance.
• Participate in and/or manage EQA visits, ensuring the visit schedule is adhered to and all requested portfolios meet the required standards for a positive outcome.
• Plan, manage, and complete IQA observations of Assessors to ensure the IQA strategy is effectively implemented.
What are we looking for?
Essential
• Assessor and IQA qualification
• Relevant occupational competence
• Experience of delivering training and support
• Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
Desirable
• Experience and a proven track record of leading a team of IQAs
• Experience of co-ordinating EQA visits
• Been actively involved in an Estyn Inspection
