4. Assist in handling any grievance procedure and carrying out preliminary investigation of incidents and/or disciplinary issues (when assigned).

• Manage and directly supervise maintenance contractors in administering the preventive and recovery maintenance programme for kitchen equipment daily.

• Assist the Assistant Director (Programme) / Lead Case Manager to deliver relevant rehabilitation and reintegration programmes to ensure that Residents are kept meaningfully engaged during their stay at the HWH.
• Monitor and maintain programme integrity so as to ensure that programmes/sessions are delivered to achieve the best intended outcome.
• Provide case management to Residents assigned under their care. This includes assisting Residents in working out their needs and providing timely and relevant Information & Referral (I&R) to link Residents and their families to appropriate services and assistance.
• Discuss and work with Residents on their accommodation, conduct and employment matters during HWH phase. This includes conducting home visits (when applicable), job site visits and monthly employment checks with employers to follow up on the Residents’ performance at work.
• Conduct and facilitate group psychology-based correctional programme(s) with Residents undergoing the Community Based Programme (CBP) at the HWH.
• Plan, organise and implement (and/or guide Residents to carry out) outreach activities and events. This involves, but not limited to, working with programme providers and managing volunteers.
• Responsible for Residents’ safety when Residents are engaged in group activities and events organised by the HWH.
• Track and evaluate the Residents’ progress during their stay at the HWH. This includes involvement in case discussions among the HWH Programme Unit and case conferences with the relevant SPS officers.

The successful incumbent will assist the Executive Director in overseeing Selarang Halfway House (SHWH) and/or future new site operations. The job holder would also be supervising staff under the Operations Team to ensure that Residents of the HWH are provided with a safe and secure environment that would aid in their journey towards successful reintegration. Cover the duties of Assistant Director, Operations during his/her absence.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the deployment roster and tasking of Operations Teams in ensuring operational synergy and continuation of the daily SHWH and/or future new site operations routine without disruption.
• Work together with the Assistant Director, Operations, to develop and review contingency plans and to do forward operations planning to deal with potential issues to safeguard personnel and property within SHWH and/or future new site. This includes developing and reviewing business continuity plans to minimise disruptions to SHWH and/or future new site operations.
• Work closely with SPS and other relevant Home Team agencies in executing relevant contingency and operational plans with the aim of ensuring the safety of people and infrastructure at SHWH and/or future new site.
• Manage residents’ requests, personal effects and disciplinary processes.
• Manage HWH operations records, resident database and statistics for the purpose of information retrieval and submission of various reports.

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree in any discipline.
• At least three years of managerial experience, preferably in operations management, security and contingency functions.
• Working experience in a residential or secured setting would be an advantage.
• Basic understanding and case management and counselling would be an advantage.

Job Purpose

· Responsible for servicing laundry customers,

· Monitoring daily laundry operations to ensure hospitals have enough linen turnaround & linen quality fulfill hospital requirements

Supervise and train inmates on Tailor operations

Major Duties and Responsibilities

· Actively support laundry operations in meeting hospitals’ linen requirements like quality.

· Handle hospitals’ requirements and feedback.

· Basic knowledge of sewing and mending is a added advantage but not a requirement.

· Ensure a smooth daily Tailor operation by maximizing capacity to achieve daily target.

· Liaise with other laundry officers to ensure hospitals’ requirements are met.

· Work closely with Prisons to resolve issues faced by Tailor workshop.

· Supervise inmates’ daily works and ensure linen quality meet hospital’s requirements. Training inmates on laundry operation and build-up their confidence on job.

· To instil the right value attitude and mind set to inmate in order to change their habit, behaviour and change their life other than just train them on the technical skills.

· To ensure Workplace Safety & Health regulations are adhered to.

· To maximize production capacity, productivity and quality.
