The Technical Skills Coach/Trainer - Engineering is responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices in the Engineering Levels 3-6 Apprenticeship Programmes.Providing effective skills coaching and mentoring to enhance the apprentice and employer experience and ensure successful achievement towards the end point assessment.

The main duties of the role include conducting visits and formative assessments in the workplace or remotely to support students’ progress towards a successful gateway. The Technical Skills Coach also provides teaching, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to apprentices.Additionally, they teach the theory elements of the standard in a classroom environment and provide ongoing support to apprentices and their employers, including regular communication and explanation of the standards.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a Level 4 or higher Teaching Qualification, or the willingness to work towards this whilst on the job. We are excited to be able to offer an opportunity for a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead who will share responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across our large and diverse college situated in Langley, Slough.

You will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings (Child Protection, Team around the family, Child in Need and Personal Education Plans) and contribute to the assessment of students (S17/S47).

Compliance and Quality Assistant

Working 37 hours per week, for 37 weeks per year (43.31 paid weeks), the role of the Compliance and Quality Assistant is to support the efficient running of the Structural Technologies department.

The main responsibilities of the role include providing administrative support to the team, ensuring compliance and audit readiness, managing internal audits, overseeing exam entries and MIS submissions, and maintaining data integrity.

They will also collaborate with the Assistant Principal and Curriculum Teams to support the delivery of compliant curriculum programs.

In terms of quality assurance, the Compliance and Quality Assistant is responsible for carrying out internal verification activities to meet the awarding body and company standards. This role offers a fixed term, 18-month contract working 37 hours per week (full-time). This role being an Apprenticeship role pays National Living Wage.

We are seeking someone who will join our Marketing Department as an Apprentice Social Media and Content Creator to contribute to the management of marketing activities to promote the college's propositions to prospective students. To successfully qualify for this role, you must have a level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English alongside either a Level 2 in ICT or a relevant Media/Marketing subject.

The main responsibilities include delivering the marketing recruitment strategy, capturing content for social media channels and websites, producing digital and print content, conducting competitive analysis, managing website updates, and supporting internal and external events.

The role also involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, working with the marketing team, and utilizing analytics and insights for decision-making.

You will be given the opportunity to learn whilst you work by assisting in developing integrated and targeted campaigns to specific audience groups and coordinate input from stakeholders.

You will support the marketing team in creating engaging content for social media, websites, and course guides. Additionally, you’ll get to learn how to grow social media channels, maintain a content calendar, and collaborate on digital and print content production.

The successful Apprentice Social Media and Content Creator will also assist with website updates, conduct competitive analysis, and assist with the management of internal and external events.

Technical Skills Coach - Engineering

The Technical Skills Coach/Trainer - Engineering is responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices in the Engineering Levels 3-6 Apprenticeship Programmes. Providing effective skills coaching and mentoring to enhance the apprentice and employer experience and ensure successful achievement towards the end point assessment.

The main duties of the role include conducting visits and formative assessments in the workplace or remotely to support students’ progress towards a successful gateway. The Technical Skills Coach also provides teaching, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to apprentices. Additionally, they teach the theory elements of the standard in a classroom environment and provide ongoing support to apprentices and their employers, including regular communication and explanation of the standards.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a Level 4 or higher Teaching Qualification, or the willingness to work towards this whilst on the job. You must in addition have an Appropriate Engineering HNC/HND/Degree and/or vocational qualification or equivalent and be ideally IEng registered. An A1 Assessors Award is a strong advantage, if you do not have one you must be willing to work towards this in the first year of employment.
