voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate Guest Experience Manager to be part of its dynamic team, providing unstuffy service to our valued guests. . As Guest Experience Manager, you will take full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Guest Experience department and Club Lounge Operations. Your mission is to deliver exceptional products and services in alignment with voco Orchard Singapore’s brand standards. You will also serve as the Celebrity Service Ambassador for the hotel.

Your day to day

• Actively participate in the selection of suitable new staff, their on-boarding, and continuous training to upkeep high levels of service presentation by them at all times.
• Prepare efficient work schedules for all staff assigned to the Club in order to optimize their productivity without negatively impacting guest service standards.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and grooming of all employees assigned to the Club.
• Effectively manage operational routine by conducting daily shift briefings with assigned staff, highlighting all VIP arrivals, meetings, guest critique and relevant issues impacting guest service.
• Ensure your direct reports have current guest focused standards and procedures which are used effectively for training purposes

• Be knowledgeable about all VIPs in-house, hotel functions, and special events.
• Liaise with the DOR and FOM to prepare tailor-made itineraries for guests, coordinating VIP greetings and departures ahead of time.
• Recommend, plan, schedule, and arrange preferred activities for guests during their stay.
• Participate in daily staff briefings to share updates, initiatives, and guest information.
• Supervise the entire operations of Club Lounge; this includes its rooms, facilities and food & beverage operations.
• Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through high levels of personal recognition and prompt cordial attention to all guests from arrival through departure.
• Ensure an excellent quality of the product, food & beverage offerings and the facility are presented at all times by liaising with other departments/Heads such as Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director and Executive Housekeeper.
• Ensure timely and high standards of display and presentation at the Club Lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
• Ensure that bookings for the Club Lounge’s meeting room are optimally managed and it is well maintained to meet guest requests.
• Maintain Back of House decorum in the Club Lounge areas, in respect of its guests’ privacy and relaxation.

As a Security Officer, you will perform hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property as well as the property’s assets.

People

• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include all hotel staff, Corporate Hotel Management Group and Corporate Risk Management and Legal department.
• Assist in training/educating employees on current safety and security issues to ensure compliance with all Company loss control policies and current security, and safety regulations. Guest Experience

• Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest related incidents, questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
• Investigate loss and safety incidents involving guests, employees and/or hotel loss and safety exposure and comply with state and government regulations and hotel procedures to prevent/minimize the loss from theft and other safety risk or litigation against the hotel. Such investigations may include theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints, intoxication incidents, other guest complaints and safety hazard accidents and incidents.

• Monitor performance of employees scheduled during shift and recommend and/or initiate disciplinary actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Report serious issues to respective management for follow-up.

• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned including assisting staff with their job functions during peak periods.

What we need from you

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or other relevant qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ related experience in a full service hotel as a concierge
• Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in another language is an advantage
• Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.

Your Day to Day

voco Orchard Singapore is looking for a dynamic and energetic Business Development Manager to join its team. As Business Development Manager , you will develop new sales opportunities in the allocated segments, build a robust sales platform and manage assigned account base in order to generate revenue and maximise performance both for the short and long term in line with sales target.

Financial

• Manage assigned account base and business segments to exceed targets for total revenue
• Research market place to actively prospect and qualify potential new accounts
• Develop relationship and maintain contact with key decision makers, influencers, meeting planners, event organisers, associations and other producers to drive hotel revenue
• Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility
• Negotiate rates within approved booking guidelines. Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders
• Monitor and report on sales activity undertaken and measurement of results through maintaining of accurate records in the sales tools and action plans. May also participate in the annual budgeting and planning process
• Planning and preparation for overseas sales visit, trade fairs, educational or familiarization groups to promote the hotel and develop potential business
• Conducts sales-related activities (such as sales calls, site inspections and in-house entertainments) per week in line with targets provided
• Work closely with Revenue Management to ensure that pricing and yield management principles are being communicated and implemented
• Monitor competitor practices and accounts, monthly RGI scorecards and diagnostic tools in order to understand competitor trends

People

• Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
• Set a strong example as a senior team member to help create a positive and productive work environment that delivers results and is highly engaged

Guest Experience

• Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients. Entertain clients in accordance with established company and hotel policies and guidelines
• Act as a trusted business advisor by clients; ensure that commitments are met and value is delivered
• Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients. Disseminate sales-related information to other departments as appropriate
• Maintain strong presence in the local community by participating in business / industry organisations, associations and developing a broad external network
• Ensure the whole client experience successful and memorable and act as the brand ambassador and key contact throughout their journey

Responsible Business

• Raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally
• Ensure guest safety is a priority with minimal interruptions or problems
• Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done

What we need from you

• Diploma/Degree in Business or Hospitality management or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales capacity or equivalent work experience including development of account portfolio and business development
• Working experience and proven track record in a hotel environment is highly advantageous
• Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for Senior Manager position.
• Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of other hotel systems such as Delphi, Opera would be an advantage.
