Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be compassionate, energetic, proactive, dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitor and staff. Must have a high level of integrity, resourcefulness and problem solving ability. Must be able to consistently maintain confidentiality and service excellence. Basic computer skills, effective problem solving, exceptional customer service skills, ability to multitask and stay in motion for long periods of time which are essential. Knowledge of healthcare is necessary. Functions as a central liaison for the patients and family members within the medical center by maintaining safety protocols and outstanding first and last impressions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Screens and greets patients, visitors, vendors and staff at hospital entrances; delivering exceptional first and last impressions of the organization. Maintain customer focus, safety and service excellence standards at all times.
- Provides PPE, hand hygiene and/or other necessary items per protocol to patients, visitors, and staff as appropriate.
- Facilitates wayfinding and escort services to ensure patients are delivered to the correct location quickly and efficiently. Directs visitors and vendors to specific locations.
- Utilizes appropriate chain of command to report and resolve safety and process issues. Empowers self and other team members by modeling the way in doing what is best for staff, patients and their visitors and family members.
- Prioritizes patient safety and confidentiality.
- Cleans and sanitizes surfaces, equipment, and wheelchairs. Monitors cleanliness and restocks supplies as needed.
