Our children's practice teams are at the forefront of providing services to help children, young people and their families deal with difficult situations at various stages in their lives: whether in need of child protection; looked after at or away from home; or at risk of becoming excluded from school or becoming looked after.

Located in the South West Children and Families Practice Team, the post holder will take a lead role in assessing families who present as destitute and have no recourse to public funds. They will develop effective support packages for children and their families and offer advice, support and guidance as necessary.

The post holder will also act as a resource to the Communities and Families Department offering advice and guidance to managers and staff regarding immigration legislation as it impacts on children and families with no recourse to public funds. The role may be subject to change as part of a current re-design of Children's Services.

MAJOR TASKS/JOB ACTIVITIES

As part of the duties of a Cleaning Operative and in this particular role, you will be required to be a key holder to fulfil these tasks. This typically would include operation of security alarm systems when opening a building, closing accessible windows and doors, switching off lights and ensuring that premises are left safe and secure when closing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Davidson's Mains Primary School Nursery. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team on a fixed term basis. In this exciting time for working in ELC, we hope that you are as inspired as we are by the current potential for improving the lives of children, and that you will relish the vital role that you can have in making children’s rights a lived reality. Our nursery delivers Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2-5 years old, both in term time and over the school holidays. Our current nursery improvement plan includes; exploring the concept of 'Slow Pedagogy', enriching numeracy experiences across the nursery environments and to develop our practice using children's personal plans to share, monitor and update progress.

The hours will be worked Monday to Friday on a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.

We are looking for a committed, flexible, resilient and enthusiastic practitioner to join our senior leadership team in our year round Nursery which operates full days. We currently employ 2 full time SEYOs in post.

A brand new nursery was opened in August 2018 and provides 1140 hours all year places. In addition, the Nursery has 4 Early Years Officers, 12 Early Years Practitioners, 5 Early Years Assistants, 2 Early Years Domestics and a part-time administrator.

We are recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to support the afternoons in our busy birth to five centre. Experience working with all age groups is very desirable, as is knowledge of or a strong desire to work with Froebelian principles

This post is for 52 weeks per year, with shift patterns operating between the hours of 08:00 - 18.00pm, Wednesday to Friday. Applicants who do not have this availability are recommended not to apply, as the provision of 1140 necessitates these shift patterns.
