Responsibilities
- Manage & monitor Platform financials, recoveries, and work allocation in Gene.
- Drive operational open actions closure, budget, and forecast planning cycles.
- Assist and guide PM to initiate new projects. Track and monitor actual spending of project budget (e.g., within pre-designated categories like Software, Hardware, PS, Travel, Expenses, etc., and according to the correct accounting treatment CAPEX/OPEX).
- Forecast invoice processing based on work to be delivered (e.g., agreed payment milestones, project phasing) or persistent resources (e.g., monthly squad burn-down).
- Work across teams to accrue expenses for work delivered.
- Validate actuals against forecasts and carry out corrective actions if required to ensure proper financial discipline.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining all performance dashboards and preparing reports to the project team.
- Analyze all data and project deliverables and ensure adherence to all timeframe and budget requirements.
- Manage and recommend required improvements aligned with Agile principles.
- Perform required benefit analysis in collaboration with the project team and maintain records of all project governance meetings.
- Maintain and manage vendor agreements, contracts, invoices, payments, and recovery.
- Perform financial analysis on all budgets and prepare various reports for all budget forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to prepare all reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to perform all associated activities and prepare appropriate summaries within the required timeframe.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 10–15 years of experience working in financial-related roles with strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- A proven track record of successfully executing and setting up PMO using both Agile and Waterfall ways of working in an enterprise environment.
- Excellent presentation, analytical, and articulation skills. Strong knowledge of financial tools and systems.
- Detail-oriented and extremely hands-on in managing projects.
- Strong leadership skills and evidence of collaboration with customers to develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
- Ability to manage and work with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of business and systems processes in problem analysis is required.
- Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is required.
- Strong leadership skills and generate enthusiasm among stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with users to define concepts under the direction of program managers.
- Ability to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully is required. Must possess both verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, vendors, and subject matter experts is required.
