[What you will be working on]

1. Cruise tradeshows/ events:

• Support Cruise team’s participation in global events such as Seatrade Cruise Global (Miami, USA), Asia Cruise Forum (Jeju, S.Korea) etc, including tracking budget utilisation and managing logistics.
• Opportunity to organise smaller-scale ASEAN events that will be held in Singapore, from management of vendors, invitations and RSVP list, venue sourcing and transport to actual day on-ground execution of the event.

2. Familiarization trips for cruise stakeholders:

• Works with the manager to develop suitable itineraries, manage budgets and logistics, and coordinate with vendors and tour guides etc.

3. Cruise Development Fund (CDF):

• Support the team in the overall management of grant work which includes tracking of CDF grant utilisation, processing of grant disbeursement etc.

4. Division administration:

• Manage cruise statistics, liaising with terminal operators to obtain passenger manifests and uploading them onto Stan.
• Support budget management, working closely with department heads and managers to monitor utilization.
• Serve as knowledge manager and training coordinator for the division
• Administrative duties on day-to-day functions of the division (e.g. procurement and finance matters)

[What you will be working on]

The officer will be part of the team working to anchor a major wellness attraction in Singapore. Responsibilities include: 

• Work in team which drives the process for appointment of master developer for the wellness attraction. This includes concept evaluation and award.  

• To call for tender and lead the appointment of a business consultant to assess project viability.

• To be working closely with STB Legal and appointed external legal counsel on the contracts and documents needed to protect govt interest in the project.

• Serve as STB's key POC for the appointed developer (ie investor-facing OIC). 

Additionally, the officer might be involved to support other Wellness projects as they come on stream, including future editions of Wellness Festival Singapore. Responsibilities can include:

• Investment promotion of new wellness concepts for Singapore

• Facilitation of grant support to public and private stakeholders (existing or new projects)

[What you will be working on]

1. Establish and implement data governance policies and processes to manage the data throughout its lifecycle in STB

2. Develop and set data standards across STB to enable data collaboration and analysis across STB

3. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of data governance and advocate data management practices within STB

4. Conduct requirements gathering sessions with internal stakeholders to design and implement data management initiatives (metadata management, reference data management, master data management, data lineage, data quality, business glossary) at the enterprise level.

5. Advice internal business stakeholders on data governance and management best practices to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. 

6. Develop and conduct data governance and management trainings and associated communication rollouts to internal stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

The officer will be part of the team that works closely with CBA to formulate precinct-wide initiatives to raise awareness and drive engagement with the precinct. He/She will also work closely with precinct stakeholders and associations to drive stakeholders-led marketing efforts such as Chinatown New Year Celebrations, River Hongbao, Five Footway Festival, Qi Xi Fest, and Chinatown Mid-Autumn Celebrations.

The officer will oversee one or two key assets in Chinatown such as Chinatown Heritage Centre, Chinatown Street Market and Chinatown Visitor Centre. He/ She will ensure that we leverage and maximise the tourism value of these assets to showcase the precinct’s heritage and culture, deepen visitor experience and maximise tourism returns.  He/ She would need to work closely with the appointed operator(s) to ensure that the asset(s) are well managed and there is robust programming such as events, workshops and activities as well as strategic marketing plans to drive visitorship and enhance visitors’ experience.

To achieve the above, the officer should adopt a strategic and holistic view to align plans with other agencies. This involves shaping available land sites, assets, and offerings to drive the tourism agenda and ensure alignment with the Board’s strategic vision for the precinct. He/ She will also work closely with our Marketing colleagues and Regional Offices to ensure alignment and provide updated and relevant content to facilitate the marketing of our cultural precincts in the respective marketing channels.

Management of STB Corporate Social Channels

• As a Strategic Communications Social Media Manager, you will manage STB's social media corporate channels, namely STB Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, to increase followers and engagement, develop advocates, and build STB’s corporate reputation as aligned with our strategic messages. The work involves developing a cohesive content calendar that support the Board’s strategic objectives and key messages, creating engaging content and managing our social media community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee STB’s corporate social media strategy, social playbook and guidelines.
• Editorial and content planning: review existing and upcoming content, plan and execute editorial calendar, plan and execute content development, including creating content (copywriting, images, videos, audio, infographics). Other activities include event/on-ground coverage, overseeing and/or conducting live streaming, and managing issues and crises.
• Manage social media community. This includes responding to comments and adopting relevant tactics to manage comments that breach house rules or etiquette.
• Monitor social media performance: track performance of each channel and post, provide weekly updates, generate adhoc reports when required

Others:

• Corporate logo guardianship - to oversee corporate logo guidelines, provide guidance and facilitate usage with both internal and external stakeholders etc.
• Support media monitoring efforts across all media and social channels. 
• Support for corporate industry events such as Tourism Industry Conference and Singapore Tourism Awards etc.

[What you will be working on]

1. Sustainable Tourism Strategy

i. Conduct a competitor and market scan of destinations to ensure our Sustainable Tourism Strategy remains relevant as well as to glean insights/trends that can continue to guide the strategy 

2. GSTC and Certification-related matters

i. Lead the 2025 surveillance audit to maintain our GSTC-D certification, this includes closing off the gaps arising from the 2024 audit as well as pre-empting potential new ones.

ii. Project management for the collaborations with GSTC to develop MICE and Attractions standards 

iii. Support CMIT on content curation for the GSTC Global Conference (Nov 2024) in Singapore 

3. Tourism sector carbon emissions tracking and management

i. Annually measure the tourism sector's carbon emissions and determine interventions required (if any). 

ii. Develop the carbon management guidance for STB-owned/supported assets/projects, ensuring alignment with national targets and WOG guidance.

4. Comms and marketing support 

i. Ensure the sustainability message house continues to profile Singapore as a sustainable urban destination

ii. Ensure STB and WOG's sustainability messages are accurately and strategically incorporated into our comms and marketing platforms/channels. 

[What we are looking for]

[What you will be working on]

You will oversee and administer STB's business grants. This includes: (i) ensuring grants are effectively used to achieve tourism outcomes and meet tourism industries' needs, (ii) ensuring policy compliance, and (iii) analyzing and reporting the portfolio grant performance. Key work scope includes:

• Review existing grants schemes regularly and/or develops new grant schemes to ensure its relevance in meeting STB's strategies and the needs of tourism businesses. This includes enhancing the efficiency in the administration of these schemes. 
• Oversee the administration of STB's grants. You will work with business units to provide advice on how to achieve grant outcomes, balance business needs and ensure policy compliance. 
• Monitor and report the grant schemes' budget utilization and performance target achievements. 

You will be required to work closely with business units internally across STB. Externally, you will need to maintain good working relationship with other government agencies and various teams within Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).

• Cultivate relationships with key hotel accounts and understanding their needs and challenges in transforming their businesses. You will have an opportunity to tailor support for key accounts through STB's own programmes and other government schemes to enable hotels to adopt new business models, diversify their offerings and adopt best practices (e.g. in human capital, sustainability efforts, etc).

• You will also work closely with other agencies (e.g. MOM, WSG, SSG, etc) on areas such as manpower policy reviews and Jobs & Skills development.
