The Opportunity

You will take primary responsibility for managing Parliament's Enterprise Architecture repository (currently OrbusInfinity) working with teams across Parliament to ensure that the data in the repository is up to date and generating outputs to the support the wider work of the Enterprise Architecture team and the Digital Steering Groups.

About The Team

The Enterprise Architecture team is part of the Office of the CTO. We are responsible for developing Parliament's technology strategy ensuring that Parliament has the technology it needs to do its work. We do this through mapping Parliament's digital landscape, working closely with teams across Parliament to understand how demand for digital will change over time, working with teams in the Digital Service to develop roadmaps and developing Parliament's reference architecture, standards and design patterns.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect with experience of supporting integrated workplace management systems (or similar e.g. facilities management) to bring their technical skills to the heart of democracy to help make Parliament happen.

Joining the UK Parliament Digital Service, you will be responsible for the technical architecture, design and build of the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). You will undertake structured analysis of technical requests and issues, translating this analysis into technical designs that describe a solution to meet business needs. You will also provide architectural consultation and ad-hoc support for other digital solution needs within the Workplace Management and Built Environment domain.

Experience of understanding the relevant business domain (e.g. maintenance, accommodation, asset management) and of supporting integrated workplace management systems or facilities management systems is required for this role.

• provides technical leadership within the service team, making sure that the technical direction and delivery of the IWMS is consistent and aligned to standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps, collaborating with architectural colleagues as necessary.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will manipulate, analyse, and present data to provide business and operational insight. The role will have a core focus on Power BI reporting and will need you to assess data through exploratory data analysis, develop clear visualisations, and to clearly communicate to a variety of audiences.

• analyse data to assess quality, making recommendations based on findings
• analyse data in different systems in preparation for migration or integration, working with business stakeholders to support data cleaning where required

The team's goal is to continue the ongoing development and maintenance of the IWMS (Planon), to ensure its capability remains current and meets business needs. The team supports multiple areas, including Strategic Estates, Service Delivery & Customer Experience as well as the Parliamentary Maintenance Services Team in their day to day running of operations across the Parliamentary Estate. Key business processes supported include Asset Management, Space Management, Moves Management, Planned & Reactive Maintenance, Property & Lease Management, Accident & Incident reporting, as well as Environment & Sustainability Management.

The Opportunity

The Opportunity

We are currently hiring a Provisioning Performance Manager to join the Provisioning team in the Digital Customer Service Directorate of the Parliamentary Digital Service.

This is a new role accountable to the Head of Provisioning for the tactical and operational day-to-day delivery of a professional and customer-focussed service with specific responsibility for budgeting and data. But your work won't stop there. Among your other responsibilities, you'll:

• lead the Provisioning teams in the successful management of data on all types of assets across all customer groups
• lead the teams in raising orders for, track, validate, manage and receipt orders from suppliers, within agreed timeframes ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance to policy as well as be the finance system superuser for the team being able to run reports for the team, resolve queries and support team members (after relevant training)
• keep accurate records of spend, compile draft forecasts, variances and commentary on a monthly basis across all budget lines, draft Medium Term Financial Plan bids and submissions as well as attend and contribute to budget deep dives with the Head of Provisioning.
• lead the Provisioning teams in the successful management of data on all types of assets across all customer groups as well as support the teams in the preparation of data for forecasting and planning the lifecycle replacement of end-user hardware.
• liaising with colleagues in Information Compliance and the Office of Chief Information Officer, respond to freedom of information requests that fall within Provisioning as well as taking responsibility for the periodic proactive publication of datasets on the website

What You Need

• experience in financial planning, forecasting and budgeting as well as experience of using Excel to manage data sets via pivot tables, Vlookups etc.

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our Open Data team at the Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS). As a data engineer, you will develop and support the new open data platform. The role will involve development of the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data pipeline framework for integrating upstream master data sources from parliamentary business systems into the Open Data Platform, as well as developing new versions of a number of key data services, including web-client applications and data APIs. • experience in agile software development within Azure
• experience in designing and developing API's for data - e.g. search API's, feed API's etc

The Opportunity

The Workplace Management Service Team is responsible for the effective running of the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) and the embedding of best practice processes across Parliament.

The Technical Architect is a key role within the Workplace Management Service Team, reporting into the Head of Integrated Workplace Management.

• provides guidance to the service team, making sure that the technical direction and delivery of the IWMS is consistent and aligned to standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps, collaborating with architectural colleagues as necessary.
• develops and maintains technical documentation pertaining to the IWMS, working with relevant teams to adhere to correct technical governance processes, and to help apply appropriate organisational standards and methodologies.

Our mission is to support a thriving parliamentary democracy - this means being ready to carry out our essential functions to support colleagues deliver excellent services on the Parliamentary Estate and remotely. The balance of location varies according to the requirements of each job role, including some roles which can only be carried out from the Parliamentary Estate. The usual working arrangements for teams in the Digital Service are set out in team hybrid working plans and are by agreement with the managers and leaders of those teams. All teams are required to attend the estate for part of the time to meet business requirements and for team communication, learning and training.
