• Performs a broad range of assessment; analyses; or experimentation of fielded or emerging capabilities/technologies associated with Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) supporting the Joint commands with national or international responsibilities.
• Is responsible for planning and conducting assessments to include defining purpose, objectives, critical operational issues, metrics; methodology, analysis of results, and providing end-state deliverables as required by customers and sponsors.

As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Works directly with the Departments of Commerce and Transportation to review civil space launch applications for Joint Force equities;

• Determines key recommendations impacting every aspect of DoD requirements and capability development utilizing analysis and supporting products to inform senior level decision makers throughout the Department of Defense inside key departmental processes including Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES), the DoD Acquisition process, the Joint Requirements Oversight Council, Capability Gap Assessment (CGA) and the Joint Military Net Assessment (JMNA).
• Serves as a technical adviser to key agency officials and is responsible for developing and implementing DoD requirements and capability development policies, conducting requirements and affordability reviews and analyzing alternatives.
• Coordinates and provides information and develops decision briefs and correspondence for the highest levels of military and civilian leadership within the DoD and throughout the government, including the combatant commands (CCMDs) and key staff within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
• Exercises delegated authority to speak for the supervisor and makes program decisions that directly impact the readiness of United States (U.S.) forces in response to global crises and contingencies.

• Advises J6 leadership on C4/Cyber opportunities supporting capability development through government, industry, and academia collaboration.
• Coordinates directly with the Office Secretary Defense Staff, Joint Staff, Service, Agency, Combatant Commanders, and Allied decision makers regarding oversight of C4/Cyber time sensitive Warfighter C2 and information sharing integration and interoperability of CCMD and Allied plans, policies and programs.
• Advises, coordinates, and presents the U.S. position as the Joint Staff J6 CID representative at task force, committee, and team meetings on plans and procedures within the DoD and with NATO and Allied mission partners.
