About the role

Onward Homes is looking to recruit a Analytics and Insight Manager to join our Analytics and Insights team on a permanent basis. This role is predominately a home-based role, where there is no daily requirement to attend an office but the successful candidate will be expected to attend the offices across the north west for collaboration and business partnering meetings.

We are recruiting a number of Gas Engineers to cover repairs across the Greater Manchester area providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, our customers.

Suitable candidates will be matched to the closest regional patch in Greater Manchester where possible to reduce excessive travel, but candidates may need to cover the a Greater Manchester area at times.

Purpose of the role:

Deliver Gas servicing, installations and breakdown repairs in line with all group standards and key performance indicators. Ensuring high standards are consistently met together with observing all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements while undertaking repair activities within customer’s homes, voids and for other clients as required.

Key responsibilities

Delivery
In line with Repairs specification or approved best practice assess, coordinate and undertake the most cost effective repair solution ensuring value for money. Organising materials, providing detailed information, effectively communicating with customers other stakeholders and colleagues to deliver a high quality service.

Ensure adequate store of materials are available and maintained, including van based stock, in order to undertake the required repair.

Customer Service
To provide excellent customer service whilst ensuring prompt work of the required standard.

Liaison and technical advice
Liaise with clients, customers and colleagues regarding access, safe working practices, and assessment of repairs requirements and progress of repairs.

Records
To complete jobs on PDA’s and maintain other records as required including access details, materials used, job progression and follow on information.

Health and Safety
Undertake work activities in line with all health and safety requirements demonstrating a sound working knowledge of key legislative health and safety information and safe working practices. Assisting the promotion of Health & Safety.

Work equipment
Operation of light machinery, plant and powered hand tools in accordance with recognised safety procedures. To be responsible for the safe use and daily maintenance of allocated Company vehicles.


What skills, experience and qualifications do you need to have?

Qualifications

Essential:

Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (recognised Gas trade qualification).
Qualified to work with Central heating, Water heaters, Cookers, Pipe work, unvented hot water, (formally ACOPS 1-14).
Qualified Gas Safe Engineer (CCN1) – Install, Commission, Service, Safety Check Natural Gas and LPG and appropriate CSCS card.
A Full UK Driving Licence is required.
Desirable

Hold relevant health & safety qualifications which relate to the sector.
Asbestos awareness training.
Relevant power tool, manual handling training.
Appropriate and current training in COSHH & PPE.

About the role

We are looking for a Scheme Manager on a permanent basis to join our Specialist Living team. This role is site based at Holmwood Ashfarm Court, Pilch Lane, Liverpool, L14 0JE. Travel to our other schemes on an ad hoc basis may also be required and you will attend the office as and when required.

The purpose of this role is to provide intensive housing and building management services, at Onward sheltered housing schemes enabling tenants to live confidently and independently in their own homes and ensuring Onward meet its health & safety and compliance requirements.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme, providing excellent customer service which meets and exceeds expectations, including reporting repairs. About the role

We are looking for a Supported Housing Specialist to join our Specialist Living team. This is a home based role, where there is no daily requirement to attend an office with the flexibility and a need to attend site visits as and when required.

The purpose of the role is to deliver a specialist Supported Housing service to all our vulnerable customers across the organisation working collaboratively with managing agents and neighbourhoods to ensure a high level of customer service.

Service Delivery

About the role

We are seeking to recruit a Repairs Surveyor on a permanent basis to ensure our housing repairs service is delivered to our customers, across our properties and contributes to our overall neighbourhood improvement plans.

This role is a hybrid role, with a regular requirement to attend our neighbourhood sites across Merseyside to complete surveys and inspections and meet with customers, as well as attending our Watson Building office in Liverpool.

Inspect empty properties and ensure work is carried out to bring them up to a lettable standard.
Respond to customer enquires relating to their home that require a face to face visit.
Listen to customer views, encouraging resident involvement and make recommendations for how the organisation can respond.
Deal directly with customers who experience problems with contractor performance, take personal responsibility for ensuring satisfactory resolution.
Provide advice and assistance to customers to help maintain their homes, deal with condensation, fuel poverty etc.
Contract Management

Carry out property defect and repair inspections and appropriate diagnosis.
Issue orders to contractors including prioritising, cost-coding and estimating.
Ensure all work is to standard, monitoring and controlling the supervision of work in progress as well as adopting a project management approach to the management of properties requiring major works.
Monitor spend against budgets, reporting any important differences and take action to keep spend within budget.
Agree variations to work which are cost efficient.
Ensure colleagues, contractors and customers comply with health and safety, equal opportunity and other statutory guidelines. Ensure that all contracts are specified, ordered and tendered and payments processed.

About the role

About the role

We are now recruiting an Apprentice Fire Safety Surveyor to support the effective management of Fire Risk Assessment and Fire action compliance across Onward in accordance with regulatory undertakings to ensure Onward is fully compliant and reduces any residual risk to customers, colleagues and third parties.

This is a home based role where there is no daily requirement to attend an office but it is expected that the successful candidates will attend the office when required for training, meetings and other team events.

Candidates will complete a Level 4 Fire Safety Inspector from Compass Training as part of the apprenticeship.

As part of this course you will complete a mixture of online and in person training usually taking place every Thursday.


Responsibilities:

Property Support

Assist in ensuring compliance with contract specifications, monitoring performance standards and minimising risk across a variety of workstreams.

Assist in undertaking completion checks at handover stage, following up on outstanding work items assessing all aspects of quality control and ensuring customers are delighted with the completed works.

Assist in ensuring Landlord compliance related certificates/reports are obtained in a timely manner for updating in Onwards management systems.

To work closely with the response repairs, compliance, and strategy teams to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, works are programmed in a timely manner and that accurate completion documentation is received and recorded to ensure overall compliance and customer safety.
Data Management

Assist the Project leads to maintain up to date information relating to Fire Safety Compliance risk, including ensuring the operation and development of appropriate data management systems, accurately recording all testing, inspection, and remedial works.
Health and Safety

Assist the Project leads to ensure Health & Safety compliance with legislative requirements including CMD Regulations.
Partnership Working

Attend and contribute to contract meetings (Pre-start / Progress).
Attend joint site meetings and inspections with colleagues of tenanted properties to resolve customer complaints, record property condition and identify repair requirements and manage relevant works through to completion.

About the role

We are looking for a Lettings & Administration Specialist to join our Neighbourhoods team within the Merseyside area on a fixed term basis for 9 months. This role is a home-based role, there is no daily requirement to attend an office with the flexibility to attend as and when required.

The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate the lettings process and support with neighbourhood’s team administration.

Responsibilities will include:

Letting Our Homes

Managing re-housing waiting lists proactively so that offers can be made Ensuring nomination targets are met and building strong relationships with local authority partners and choice based letting providers.

Responding to lettings enquiries and housing options inquiries and providing housing advice to potential clients. Help with high needs and high-quality applicants, including active participation in initiatives such as Home + and flagging support needs.

Overseeing affordability assessments to check if applicants can afford to rent the property and ensuring that applicants have provided correct documentation.

Carrying out Tenancy fraud checks, ensuring that applicants are entitled to the correct property and ensure their application is correct.

Develop adverts and marketing campaigns in partnership with Neighbourhood Specialists.

Ensuring accurate tenancy agreements and sign-up packs are produced.

Ensuring new and prospective customers receive an excellent customer service experience during the lettings process.
General Administration

Perform general administrative duties to support the work of the Neighbourhoods team.

Process Subject Access Requests when required.

Administrative work on behalf of the local authority to administer their CBL systems which involves making banding assessments on customers and dealing with rehousing queries and advice. May be required to assist with office reception cover.
The successful candidate will have:

Experience of delivering customer service

Experience of partnership working

Experience of working as part of a team

IT skills – Microsoft office to Intermediate level

Experience of following set policies and processes

Experience in working in Lettings, preferably within a housing association or Local Authority


Desirable:

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification/ experience

Knowledge and awareness of related housing regulations/ law

About the role

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a permanent basis to join our Environmental Services team. This role is based in Merseyside and successful candidates will work in local teams and are not required to report to a depot each day but attend when require for team meetings and replenishment of supplies.

The purpose of the role is to work as part of a mobile team to deliver a wide range of landscape maintenance and improvement works, resulting in a consistently high-quality environment, which improves our schemes and estates to create positive spaces for customers.

Carrying out grass cutting, shrub pruning, weed control and the removal of litter
Training will be given to successful applicants in all aspects of the job description.
You will be required to ensure that all works, and safety procedures are followed, and record keeping is accurate and to undertake routine maintenance checks of plant, equipment, and machinery.

What we require

Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience in a similar ground’s maintenance, environmental services, or estates cleaning role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Willingness to work as part of a team.

PA1 and PA6 qualifications in pesticides
NVQ Level 2 in horticulture
NPTC CS30,31 Chainsaw
360 rotating excavator Trailers –B+E
