Purpose of your Role

Reporting to an Operations Team lead within Payment Operations, the Settlements Officer will be responsible for various tasks spanning the Payment Ops group including but not limited to, incoming and outgoing payment reconciliation, outward payment batch processing, Investigation/Trace/Recall of customer funds in accordance with company policies, and commercial and consumer team requirements.  Daily calculation of funding requirements to ensure sufficient balance in Accounts to meet daily payment obligations.

This position is accountable for contributing to effective Operations & Settlements procedures and processes that balance OFX’s operational, financial, and reputational risk associated with its incoming receipts, outgoing payments and global payment methods.  The Settlements Officer supports ‘direct to client’ focused practices that position OFX for scalable, profitable business growth.

As part of the Technology management team, this role will provide overall leadership and direction for OFX’s Capability Platforms, including the software engineering discipline to ensure core business goals are supported and successfully executed on.

What you do

• Set a Technical vision and define the strategy for the Capability Platforms domain including Payments, Treasury, FX, Pricing, Data, Cloud and Engineering platforms
• Ensure engineering and other practices and processes are defined, communicated, evolved and adhered to within your practice
• Lead architectural direction and decision making within your practice
• Effectively manage Tech Debt and software costs within your practice
• Management of Technology vendors, including financial budget, within your practice
• Set effective metrics and delivery methodologies in Delivery teams to ensure success
• Delegation and training of individuals within your team to ensure empowerment, autonomy and professional development while ensuring overall delivery objectives are achieved
• Management and mitigation of technology risks using proper governance
• Manage technology costs effectively including resourcing, vendors and infrastructure (where possible)
• Work with Product leads to identify metrics for products are identified a part of the delivery process and measured post release
• Ensure all product platforms are secure, reliable and built to scale
• Professional development of direct reports, identifying and nurturing high performing resources while effectively managing underperforming resources
• Ensure all direct reports have clear and measurable objectives which adhere to the divisions approach and relate to team, product and organisational metrics
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, both Technology and other business divisions including effective ongoing communication approaches
• Work with the CTO, People and Culture and your peers in Product and Technology to evangelise OFX and Technology across the industry for the development of future OFX talent acquisition

The Global Program Manager: Cards and Transactions will be responsible for the strategic design, management, and oversight of the company's card processes as both a merchant and issuer. This senior role will ensure the efficient and secure operation of card issuing and transactions, foster relationships with key stakeholders such as card scheme providers and vendors, and drive the scaling of card processes globally. 

What you do

• Develop and refine the strategic vision for card issuing processes, systems and operating model, aligning them with the company's objectives and values.
• Oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of card issuing and transaction processes to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with card schemes, system vendors, and other key partners to ensure seamless and cost-effective services.
• Formulate and support the implementation of robust client protection strategies, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud monitoring processes, to safeguard client interests and maintain the company's integrity.
• Ensure all card issuing and transaction processes comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with regional operations teams to implement standardised practices and drive consistent card operations across all regions. This includes establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of card operations globally.
• Conduct regular assessments and reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimise operational processes to enhance the overall client experience.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements and industry trends in card issuing to drive innovation and improve card service offerings.
• Serve as the business owner of critical technology platforms supporting service delivery, overseeing their functionality, optimisation, and utilisation to enhance card issuing processes and collaborate with the technology team to prioritise improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, compliance, technology, and customer support, to integrate strategies and deliver holistic client-focused solutions.
• Operate as a key member of the Global Operation’s Leadership Team as well as OFX’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
