What is the Role?
As a Finance Manager at Menyala, your role is crucial in building and managing financial operations for Menyala and its ventures. You will align financial strategies with Menyala's vision, empowering technological shifts through your financial expertise, leadership, and collaborative skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Oversee finance operations, including vendor invoices, staff claims, and payments.
- Engage with buyers/suppliers for cross-border trade transactions.
Systems, Tools & Processes:
- Design, set up, and manage accounting tools and systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) for Menyala.
- Develop and deliver financial policies, guidelines, and protocols for regulatory compliance.
Management Reporting:
- Manage financial forecasting, reporting, and metrics tracking for Menyala.
- Evaluate financial performance, comparing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Sponsor Engagement
- Build, track, and report on overall financial budgets, forecasts, and plans for Temasek.
- Cater to defined Temasek reporting and consolidation needs.
Projects / Ventures:
- Engage in vendor procurement and finance matters for cross-border trade transactions for Menyala Projects and Ventures.
- Manage financial forecasting, reporting, and metrics tracking for Projects and Ventures through effective mechanisms and reviews.
Financial Policies for Ventures:
- Build financial policies, guidelines, and protocols for Menyala's ventures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assist in setting the overall strategy and day-to-day operations for Ventures.
Operating Metrics for Ventures:
- Monitor key metrics like cash flow, working capital, inventory turnover, etc., for Menyala's Ventures.
Support for Ventures:
- Assist the executive team and Venture CEOs in day-to-day operations (finance/Tax perspectives).
Financial Information Systems for Ventures:
- Design, set up, and manage accounting tools and systems for Menyala's Ventures.
Specialist Business Advice:
- Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of financial policies and procedures.
