Job Descriptions

• Oversee fabrication works, prepare inspection reports for small steel fabrication, welding, painting thickness test, small electrical for lighting, etc
• Understand welding, material preparation, painting, cladding among many other tasks.
• Ensure that work processes, procedures are in compliance with company's safety standards and legal requirements.
• Provide training to production teams on quality control measures, so as to improve their quality standards.
• Proposing improvements to the production processes and quality standards.
• Contract Position: 4 - 5 Months (Commencing Mid-November Onwards)

Job Descriptions

• Understand the drawings and job specifications; Draft method statements on the assigned tasks and seek approval from supervisor.

• Plan and monitor all utility diversion works.

• Check workmanship and quality against specifications in drawings and ITP requirements; Perform other quality tests as required.
• Provide inputs to supervisor to minimise wastage and optimise material/labour costs;

Job Descriptions

• Generally responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of all electrical related works at site
• Detailed design of all Electrical related works
• Interprets tender drawings, studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to design of the Electrical works
• Manages directly, provide engineering and technical supports to all the electrical work groups at site.
• Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
• Supports the Construction Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at site.
• Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
• Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
• Directly responsible for the safety of all electrical groups’ personnel of the project, by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

Technical

• Design, integration & coordination, installation & commissioning of mechanical systems and services required for the project.
• Liaise with Construction/Installation Manager to ensure that job is on schedule on Site.
• Liaise with Client on all technical aspects of the project.
• Provide engineering advice for the Construction/Installation Team.
• Attend meetings with client on all disciplines of the work as required.
• Prepare all inspections, test plans and associated Project Specific Procedures with the Quality Manager.
• Ensures that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
• Ensure coordination & integration of the design with other engineering design disciplines & services.
• Ensure project timetabling requirements are met.
• Development / production of inspection & test and operating & maintenance manual documentation.
• Ensure local regulatory and OHS requirements are maintained.
• Ensure that the surveys of installations throughout the project are conducted in a professional manner with all results being reviewed and accepted by Management.
• Ensure that all actions resulting from these surveys are coordinated by the Engineer until completion.
• Provides written reports on engineering activities as required by the Project Manager.
• Mentor Engineering Graduates and Engineering Vacation Students (Engineering Assistant)
• Maintain documentation and registers.
• Provide monthly reporting data to the Engineering Manager as required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer within a similar industry.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 5 years' experience in basic design requirements, fabrication, installation, T&C and all site activities related to all electrical works.
• Familiar with all electrical engineering methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables and tool allocations related to electrical works.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team and manage numerous activities / projects simultaneously - both short and long term.
• Ability to work with own initiative and with minimal supervision.
• Outgoing personality essential for dealing directly with Clients and their design team.
