Mytime is a successful project that supports unpaid carers to access breaks and activities to give them some precious time for themselves.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE:

o To develop the existing Mytime carer breaks scheme that supports unpaid carers in Coventry.


o To work closely with local delivery partners to recruit hotels, restaurants, leisure, relaxation and other businesses to help offer a range of breaks for carers.

2. Ensure that information is provided for the existing website to show carers Mytime details and match break opportunities to eligible carers

POSITION: RESETTLEMENT WORKER

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide a high-quality frontline resettlement service to victims of domestic abuse delivering a service to those at highest risk. To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse. Provide specialist support to clients with additional barriers to support.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL BE:

o Providing service users with information on housing options, assist them to make applications for accommodation, advocate on their behalf with housing providers and accompany them to interviews and viewings if appropriate.


o Acting as a key-worker to a caseload of individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse, enabling them to take ownership of their journey with Local Solutions.


o Ensuring that clients receive the necessary practical help to move in, either directly or through liaison with other support services. This would include, personal and housing benefit claims, assistance with community care grants, domestic fuel connections etc.


o Carrying out a strengths-based assessment with applicants, facilitating the co-production of a person-centred plan, that enables individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations and the opportunity to identify and develop their talents.


o Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with specialists and agencies who might offer resources, funding, or individual services relevant to service user needs, e.g. Registered Social Landlords, Local Authority, Community Mental Health services, Drug & Alcohol Services, Benefit Agency and other government agencies, referral agencies, charitable trusts, other voluntary agencies.


o Focus and prioritise victims who face additional barriers to accessing support and engaging in safety planning.


o Work with high-risk victims of domestic abuse who also have additional complex needs to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.


o In accordance with Local Solutions case management policy: Be proactive with your line manager in carrying out periodic case reviews based on a review of risk and abuse


o Help maintain accurate and confidential case management records and databases and contribute to monitoring information for the service.


o Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.


o Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for victims of domestic abuse.

JOB TITLE - IDVA (INDEPENDENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ADVISOR)

LOCATION - LIVERPOOL

Salary - £29,475

RESPONSIBLE TO: OPERATIONAL MANAGER The role of IDVA involves providing a pro-active service to all victim survivors of domestic abuse who have been assessed as high-risk within a multi-agency setting.

The work of the IDVA is distinct in that it assesses risk and delivers a tailored service which aims to address the safety needs of victim survivors and any children and/or dependents. The IDVA will advocate on behalf of the victim survivor, ensuring that they remain at the centre of all that we do, providing advice and support from the point of crisis and referring on to relevant agencies once the risk has reduced.

The IDVA aims to support clients to improve their safety, to support their recovery and to achieve long term safety and reduce repeat victimisation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide a responsive and pro-active service to victim survivors of domestic abuse to keep them and their children safe.

2. To assess the risks and complete safety planning based on the risk identified in the risk assessment, including the MeRIT (Merseyside Risk Indicator Toolkit).

3. Offer immediate safety planning and crisis intervention, as well as ongoing support to promote long term safety and making ongoing referrals where required.

4. To develop individualised safety and support plans that are tailored to the individual needs of the victim survivor.

5. Identify both immediate and longer-term support and safety needs and provide a tailored response, ensuring safe pathways to further support wherever possible.

6. Provide emotional and practical support and information to victims including around housing, health, financial, civil remedies and criminal justice options and potential outcomes to clients and advocate on their behalf, ensuring that the victim is at the centre of all that we do.

7. To support victim survivors through the Criminal Justice System, explaining processes, outcomes, and their rights.

8. To complete required referrals to MARAC and to actively participate in the MARAC process, ensuring that the client remains at the centre of all that we do.

9. Prioritise and organise workloads within a dynamic and fast paced setting.

10. To work in a multi-agency setting, working in partnership with agencies, advocating for the victim survivor to ensure that relevant support is offered. This includes advocating for them and any children or dependants and proactively engaging with all agencies with the aim of promoting victim survivor safety and disrupting and managing perpetrator behaviour.

11. Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of both adults and children including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Childrens Board and Safeguarding Adults Board.

12. Record all contacts with victims securely and accurately on IDVA database systems, in accordance with procedures for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

1. Previous experience of working within a statutory, voluntary or community environment, supporting victim survivors of domestic abuse, successfully managing conflict, difficult and sensitive situations.

2. Experience of working directly with victims of domestic abuse, completing individualised support and safety plans, and referring to relevant agencies.

3. Proven record of building positive working relationships with partner agencies, understanding the roles and remits of them, and experience of working effectively in seeking joint solutions to meet the needs of victim survivors in a timely and pro-active manner.

4. A thorough of understanding of the complexities of domestic abuse and the dynamic and fluid nature of risk, along with the barriers faced by those experiencing this.

5. Clear and current understanding and knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and legislation relating to domestic abuse, child protection, safeguarding and civil law, as well as knowledge and awareness of both local and National agencies and resources.

6. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, adhering to deadlines and delivering results through effective planning and organisation of own workload, demonstrating the ability to prioritise and manage demands, even when under pressure.

7. Demonstrate the ability to respond to change in the working environment by showing a willingness to adapt and be flexible in changing circumstances, seeking advice from others when change occurs and maintaining work standards as circumstances change.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual who is committed to working with Young People, supporting them to navigate challenges, make positive choices and achieve positive outcomes. AIMS Skills Programme Facilitator will deliver engaging face to face and online sessions to Young People and encourage a minimum of 12 weeks attendance on our programme. You will provide one to one mentoring alongside the programme offering support based on a strengths based needs assessment.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Individual assessment, planning, support and session delivery for clients engaged in Local Solutions AIMS Programme. Facilitate Group based skills programme sessions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL BE:

o Provide an individualised, flexible approach to supporting clients on the AIMS Skills Programme.


o Complete high quality initial assessment, risk assessment, ongoing support planning and reviews as well as delivery of specialist sessions.


o Collect and record evidence around sustained accommodation, individual progress, assessment completions and other outcome target data.


o Act as a coordinating presence for additional support provision and multi-agency input.


o Provide integrated support within sports and watersports setting and education, employment or voluntary settings.


o Identify changing levels of need and tailor support appropriately.


o Plan and deliver flexible and appropriate support into clients accommodation which promotes sustained tenancies.


o Liaise with delivery partners including accommodation providers, referrers and education and employment providers.


o Build and maintain networks and relationships with essential and complimentary services across the city.


o Co-ordinate multi agency responses, to ensure wrap around responses to meet the needs of service users.


o Use information and insight from performance to inform priorities and determine interventions.


o Participate in staff development reviews and supervision.


o Ensure Service User Participation and collaboration.


o Deliver Strengths based, person centred, trauma informed support to individuals and groups.


o Work with the Head of Support & Safeguarding and AIMS Programme Coordinator to develop the service in innovative ways to deliver maximum benefit.


o To take a role in upholding and promoting Local Solutions values.


o Undertake any other task that may be deemed necessary.

o Maintaining effective operation of processes, delivering and evaluating the impact of activities that are required for smooth service provision. Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are embedded throughout services and support, including place based health & safety.


o Meetings regularly take place to agree plans of work and to review progress in meeting your roles and responsibilities.


o Where necessary, issues are reported upwards to ensure that action is planned and its implementation monitored.


o All members of the team are kept informed on relevant issues and consulted as appropriate

POSITION: ACCOMMODATION SERVICES CASUAL STAFF

LOCATION: LIVERPOOL

HOURS: CASUAL HOURS

SALARY: £12 per hour

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Ensuring the delivery of a high-quality housing and support service that provides accommodation to 16-21 year olds.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL BE:

o Provide a pro-active trauma informed, person centred & strength-based intervention service through individual safety planning and personal support.


o Focus and prioritise service users who face additional barriers to accessing support and engaging in safety & support planning.


o Deliver best practice housing and support service, appropriate to clients needs.


o Attend regular one to one supervision meetings and team meetings.


o Delivering clearly defined outcome targets for service users, ensuring quality assessments are consistently maintained to the highest level.


o Implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.


o Promoting the highest levels of service user consultation, communication, and partnership in all aspects of service delivery.


o Ensuring that the development of and access to education, training and employment opportunities are central to the service.


o Ensure that key performance indicators (e.g. voids, arrears and quality standards) are met within the upper quartile for the sector.


o Help maintain accurate and confidential case management records and databases and contribute to monitoring information for the service.


o Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.


o Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for service users.


o Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of service users ensuring the service is accessible to all.


o Remain up-to-date and compliant with all organisational procedures policies and professional codes of conduct and uphold standards of best practice.


PARTICIPATION IN MULTI-AGENCY OPERATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS



o Work to ensure the role is central to multi-agency work and responses to homelessness in your area.


o Develop and maintain links with other agencies.


o Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.


o Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to tackle the issue of homelessness.


o Represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as required.


o Influence and develop responses to improve services to service users ensuring that the experiences of service users and other agencies inform this process.


OTHER DUTIES

o To deliver additional provision/group-based work with sourced funding.


o Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements including Data protection, confidentiality, child protection and adult safeguarding.


o Ensure there is robust engagement and involvement of service users re service improvements.

o Relevant experience and/or qualifications in housing support.
