The physiotherapist is on a journey from novice, progressing towards an intermediate practitioner. He/she is consolidating skills and experience and preparing for a higher level of functioning.
The physiotherapist has a comprehensive, and broad theoretical knowledge base within a professional field of practice and an awareness of the boundaries of that knowledge. The physiotherapist is expected to deliver safe and effective clinical services in routine environments.
He/she can be entrusted to work with a considerable degree of autonomy. He/she may take on responsibility to support supervision of junior staff and support staff or training,and may be assigned with some additional responsibilities or accountability to services or resource management for exposure and selected development in educator, researcher and/or leadership roles.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Practice & Improvement

- Maintain consistent standards of care (including clinical and service)

Clinical Supervision & Mentoring
- Assist in supervision and training for the junior staff/ therapy support staff
Facilitation of Education
- Conduct health profession education/ training (i.e. in-service) to intra-department colleagues
- Facilitate education (i.e. group sessions/ public forum/ workshops) to patients/ public
- Conduct health profession education/ training (i.e. workshops and seminars) with support
Planning & Development
- Organize, coordinate and provide continuing education to colleagues with guidance
- Develop education resources (i.e. training manuals, patient education content) with guidance
Research & Innovation
Update Knowledge in Practice
- Apply and demonstrate evidence-based practice
Develop Research & Innovation
- Participate in research/ innovation (clinical transformation, care redesign) projects (i.e. study design/ data collection/ analysis)
Create & Communicate Evidence
- Develop abstracts/ posters/ oral presentations with guidance

- Manage services and resources to achieve department/ institution strategic goals and outcome targets with guidance

- Co- lead department workgroups/ teams to deliver/ improve/ transform service and care to meet current and emerging needs

- Manage information and data (i.e. service data, performance indicators) to identify gaps and potential areas of change with guidance
- Evaluate and present findings to the department to influence change with guidance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with clinical and supervisory competency
- PC literate Experience with ideally at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Professional Registration
- Registered with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
- Possess valid Practicing Certificate from AHPC, Singapore.
