An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Team at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who wants to work within a team whose priority is to rehabilitate patients back to their maximum functional ability.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in a variety of clinical settings including: Surgical wards, medical wards, and elderly care, providing rehabilitation programmes and enabling patients to be discharged from hospital as soon as possible. The successful candidate will have a broad range of relevant clinical experience and able to demonstrate a real passion for the inpatient acute hospital setting, acute rehabilitation, and complex discharge planning from a therapy perspective.



You will work as part of the acute therapy team within a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Practitioners and Therapy Assistants. You will be promoting patient independence with the focus on providing early acute inpatient rehabilitation, assessing patients’ current needs, ongoing acute therapy interventions and discharge planning. Your therapy assessments will inform appropriate discharge planning from the hospital setting, according to the patients’ holistic needs.

As a Band 6 at HHFT you can expect to receive robust peer support from fellow Band 6's and regular formal supervision and clinical supervision by a Band 7 therapist. You will have opportunities to lead on service improvement projects, to supervise therapy colleagues and to provide clinical support and guidance to Band 5 occupational therapists, physiotherapists, Band 4 therapy practitioners, Band 3 therapy assistants and therapy students from our partner universities.

This 2nd Line IT Support role is part of a wider support team that looks after 10,000 users across HHFT

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person to join our team who has excellent customer service skills. A good, calm, reassuring manner is essential with a strong attention to detail. You will be taking a variety of support calls, aiming to fix all technical issues remotely or in person via proactive floorwalking so a natural flair for problem solving is a must. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, SCCM, Windows Defender / LAPS / Encryption, WIFI, PC / Laptop & Printer Hardware and Microsoft Office / M365 , as well as experience of single sign on solutions. Previous second line Service Desk experience, and be able to demonstrate a range of technical skills is essential . Experience of using a computerised Helpdesk/Service Desk and Remote Control Support Tools is part of the role and knowledge of ITIL processes and Wireless technologies would be advantageous. We also manage other bespoke hospital applications for which Training will be given and good communication skills is needed as you will be liaising with third party suppliers.

You need to be a team player as well as be able to work on your own and we would welcome applications from candidates with a variety of levels of experience.

The Desktop Engineer role is to support and maintain all operational activities of the IT desktop technical environment and the operational services it provides to its customers, as well as provide support for IT solutions that enhance critical business operations. The post holder will report to the Desktop Delivery Manager and collaborate directly with other members within the team and department. The engineer is also expected to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the trust and its customers.
