Role Purpose
· Defines and own’s product/Division level test strategy considering all testing phase, not limited to (Functional Testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing, PEN Testing, Accessibility Testing).
· Good understanding and exposer to all forms of testing (Functional Testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing, PEN Testing, Accessibility Testing).
· Provide expert advice for different types of testing.
· Takes ownership to provide and/or review accurate estimate for all types of testing.
· Capable to Plans and drives or delegate testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service development.
· Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of software testing.
· Recommends and Adopts/adapts appropriate testing methods, automated tools and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approaches.
· Measures and monitors applications of standards for testing. Assesses risks and takes preventative action.
· Identifies improvements and contributes to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testing.
· In general, travel to the UK could be one visit every 2 years. This can be at short notice and this frequency is not guaranteed as all travel is based on a clear business or project requirement. A passport is essential
Principal Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Accountable for setting the Test Strategy considering all testing phase, not limited to (Functional Testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing, PEN Testing, Accessibility Testing), Planning and Estimating phases of responsible projects or products.
· Co-ordinate delivery of the testing solution, manage the testing tasks of a team of testers and senior testers across the end to end testing lifecycle whilst providing direction, leadership and guidance .
· Accountable for overall Quality of Software for the project/product/program (More than 12 people).
· Manage the production, quality and accuracy of all test artifacts and ensure that these adhere to the Civica Test Policy.
· Actively collaborates with Test Practice Manager to help improve/enhance overall Civica Software Quality Assurance standards.
· Produce test deliverables, Test Plans and Test Outcome Reports
· Manage the quality aspects of testing work and provide peer review of the testing artefacts produced by others in the testing team
· Provide accurate and concise process updates ensuring visibility of the test process to the project / product teams and the Civica Software Quality Assurance team
· Assess and mitigate any risks or issues that threaten the achievement of the testing deliverables
· Prepares and reports on assessment findings and associated risks. Ensures that appropriate owners for corrective actions are identified.
· Actively seek process improvements and efficiencies
· Act as a role model, mentor and coach to the testing community
· Own and drive the Testing with Business Unit independently

· Responsible for Upskilling and CrossSkilling of Testing Team members.
· Plans, organises and conducts formal reviews and assessments of complex domains areas, cross-functional areas, and across the product/program.
· Identifies opportunities to improve organisational control mechanisms.
· Oversees the assurance activities of others, providing advice and expertise to support assurance activity.
· Review, analyse and come up with action plan based on quality matrix and Test Coverage.
· Provides advice, guidance and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards.
· Implements methods and tools at program, project and team level including selection and tailoring in line with agreed standards.
· Manages reviews of the benefits and value of methods and tools. Identifies and recommends improvements.
· Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
· Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
· Acts as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.
· Ensure team members’ product knowledge remains up-to-date as products evolve.
