We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate occupational therapist with highly specialist skills and knowledge in the field of frailty and geriatrics to join established Frailty Virtual Ward (Hospital at Home service). The role involves working closely with the Acute Frailty and Virtual Ward multidisciplinary team and is pivotal in ensuring all patients within the frailty Virtual ward receive the best possible care and service. The service focuses on patients who have been discharged from an inpatient wards or ED as well as those who are admitted directly from primary care or other community -based providers.

To provide specialist standard Occupational Therapy service to patients within the Frailty Virtual Ward which is delivered predominantly within the patient’s normal place of residence, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries using a holistic approach.

To give highly specialist guidance, advice and education to other members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on matters relating to your specialist area.

Provide leadership for your team (in conjunction with the Service Manager) in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Occupational Therapy service provided to patients within your area.

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow for Urology department. This is an opportunity to join a busy, dynamic multidisciplinary team to help us improve the Urology service that we provide to our population. This is initially a 1-year fixed term post.

Barking Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the newly formed Digestive Diseases Centre (DDC) within the Division of Surgery. The DDC aims to develop a Centre of Excellence in North East London and was established by amalgamating Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Upper GI, and Colorectal Surgery within the Division of Surgery.



The Endoscopy Service, hosted within the Division of Surgery, is delivered by clinicians in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Upper & Lower GI Surgery, and 3 Clinical Endoscopists. The post will provide flexible cover for the endoscopy services at Queens Hospital and King George Hospital.

BHRUT, one of the busiest NHS trusts in Greater London, performs over 18,000 GI endoscopy procedures per year in JAG-accredited units. We aim to attract tertiary referrals for complex polyps with the aid of advanced EMR, ESD, and hybrid procedures. We are already the referral centre for TEMS procedures for NE London.



This is an opportunity to join a busy, dynamic multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the services we provide to our population. We plan to develop JAG training courses at our Trust, which the successful applicant can contribute to. We undertake a variety of procedures, including Diagnostic and therapeutic OGD and Colonoscopy, EMR, Colonic stenting; ERCP, EUS (radial and linear), Capsule Endoscopy, Oesophageal pH and manometry studies. Both sites are JAG-accredited.

All staff are expected to be able to work on either site as required; this post will be expected to cover the training and quality requirements at both sites. The department of Biochemistry which is part of Blood Sciences plays a pivotal role in the provision of 26 million diagnostic tests annually for the Trust and primary care services.

The department at QH is equipped with Roche Cobas 8100 automated workflow series, Cobas 8000 analysers (c702/ e801) and COBAS Pure analyser in the Hot Lab.

At KGH it is also equipped with Roche Cobas analysers (c702/e801), Roche P612 pre-analytic, Sebia Capillaries Electrophoresis analysers, Phadia 250 analysers for RAST testing, Binding Site Optilite for Serum Free Light Chain assays.

The Prenatal Screening Department based at King George Hospital provides a high-quality screening service for chromosomal disorders, such as Down's syndrome, to antenatal patients at the Trust and to a number of antenatal centres in London and the Southeast.

We operate a 24/7 service on both sites. The Trust is currently exploring an alternative system to accommodate the increasing demand for routine 24/7 testing.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week. A flexible attitude to working hours is essential. The hours are currently within a framework of 08.00–20.00 including weekend & Bank Holiday working. These arrangements are subject to continuing review.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, well organised, dynamic and enthusiastic administrator to work in within the surgical team in Urology.
To provide administrative and secretarial support to consultant/clinical teams including the management of the clinician’s daily timetable and complete secretarial duties within a defined timeframe. Support Patient Pathway Administrators with daily responsibilities and supervise when required.

This is a pivotal role and we are looking for someone with excellent customer care skills, enthusiasm, a flexible approach and a professional attitude. You will be expected to have excellent communication and customer service skills with experience in using computer systems. Good keyboard skills are essential for the post and you should possess a current working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

You will be liaising with internal and external staff on a daily basis face to face and via the telephone. You should possess a friendly and approachable manner, be able to work calmly under pressure and demonstrate an awareness of confidentiality issues. You will need to have excellent people skills; excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a busy, challenging environment and have a positive approach to change.

The patient pathway co-ordinator (PPC) will work within dedicated speciality Divisions to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that there are co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes that revolve around the patient and their individual needs. The main duty for this role will be Audio typing amongst other duties that may be assigned.
