Plans, organizes, resources, and directs the execution of a wide range of complex inspection activities for the wing Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP). Activities include planning and directing inspections that incorporate Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force (DAF), gaining major command(s) (G-MAJCOMs), National Guard Bureau (NGB), state, wing, local instructions, and laws for regulatory guidance. Oversees compliance, plans, and conducts By-Law, Special Emphasis Items (SEI), Special Interest Items (SII), Command Interest Items (CII) and nuclear assurance inspections as outlined by requirements from the DoD, DAF, NGB, and G-MAJCOM. Routinely required to interpret and incorporate complex laws, and guidance from all levels for the creation of inspection plans throughout the wing. Develops and communicates a continuously evaluated Risk Based Sampling Strategy (RBSS). The RBSS is designed to provide commanders a tool to use when determining resource allocation to areas of concern to help identify undetected non-compliance. Authors and approves IG inspection reports, which communicate to commanders at all levels the status of compliance within their organization as well as the unit(s) ability to accomplish their tasked mission(s). Delivers post-inspection assertions directly to the Wing Commander for grading, performance, and compliance for all inspection activities in a formal written report with detailed deficiencies, recommendations, and strengths. Develops and incorporates inspection strategies that are utilized throughout the wing, incorporating multiple systems, including but not limited to, Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT), Inspector General Enterprise Management System-Classified (IGEMS-C), IGEMS, and readiness reporting tools. Oversees gatekeeper functions are being accomplished and continuously communicated to Higher Headquarters (HHQ).

Applies an extensive knowledge of installation operations and DoD, DAF, and G-MAJCOM guidance to direct complex strategic planning and exercise efforts. Utilizes qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques that frequently require modification to fit a wide range of variables to determine the unit's ability to accomplish the mission(s). Reviews the adequacy and currency of installation exercise policy guidance and instructions, and updates as necessary to incorporate program changes or to address areas where improvement is required. Works directly with commanders at all levels to determine scope, scale, rigor, relevance, recurrence, and reporting (S2R4) of unit exercises. Constructs exercise scenarios that challenge each unit to test their capability to complete their mission essential tasks (METs) in different stages of degradation. Oversees exercise scenario development which may include G-MAJCOM(s), state and wing exercise participants to meet G-MAJCOM(s) and/or combatant command(s) force-wide exercise requirements. Directs inputs and simulation injects regarding the environment, scenario, and operational ability to keep exercises realistic to meet mission objectives. Research and develops creative exercise techniques, often, leading to the use of external units and other services to help achieve mission driven objectives. Leads coordination efforts across multiple units and services to leverage their strengths and capabilities to enhance unit exercises.

Responsible for organizing and analyzing data from inspections and exercises across the DoD with the goal of identifying and communicating trends. Through trend identification and analysis, communicate data throughout the wing to commanders and unit self-assessment program managers for possible inclusion in their individual unit programs to determine compliance. Makes determination if trend items are wing-wide concerns, any wing-wide trends will be presented and explained during the commander's inspection management board (CIMB) and may be added into the CCIP for horizontal or vertical inspection. Designs CIMB that is a presentation of wing/unit CCIP and unit self-assessment programs (USAP) focused on proactive mitigation of deficiencies or risks.

Oversees and manages the WIT conducting inspection and exercise activities. Ensures the WIT consist of subject matter experts to conduct CCIP inspections and exercises under the authority of the Wing/center Commander. Validates WIT members' understanding, and application of security principles and their ability safeguard classified information ensuring they are aware of applicable security classification guides. Oversees WIT training, product development and certification.

Serves as a qualified complaint resolution representative providing advisory services to individuals, other staff offices, managers, supervisors, and employees concerning the IG program and processes.

As a PROGRAM MANAGER (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS), GS-0340-13, you supervise federal and state civilian employees, National Guard technicians, and military personnel located in the various subordinate units; plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the J-3; exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities; represent TAG (Joint Force Headquarters Commander) on J-3 issues with a variety of state and National Guard organizations; may supervise the intelligence and security functions of the JFHQ; manage the various missions within the Directorate; serve as the primary staff officer for the formulation of plans, policies, and the programming and budgeting data pertaining to operations and security; direct the preparation of state plans, focusing on synchronization of resources for national and international goals and objectives using National Military Strategy, Department of State, Department of Defense, Army & Air Planning Guidance, and National Guard Bureau directives as guides; oversee a variety of complex, interactive database systems and automated programs in support of program execution; oversee the management of the coordination for support of training, operations, and organizational functions in readiness and immediate military response to natural or manmade situations and emergencies; oversee the management of the joint state counterdrug program through management of resources and coordination with federal, state and local law enforcement and drug reduction agencies; manage the State Objective Force Structure Allowance System by functioning as the primary change agent assessing current and future command plans and programs; manage the joint aviation and air support operatives.

As a Director of Force Support, GS-0301-13, you will serve as the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Director and to exercise first and second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the FSS, manage the activities of the FSS, Commander Support Staff (CSS) and oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of high visibility and high impact FSS programs. This PD can only be utilized when the DSG Commander is the full-time technician. The Director of Force Support makes independent technical and executive decisions for the squadron in all areas of functional responsibility. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Title 32 Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification.

Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the flight, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Plans work for accomplishment by subordinate units, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules based on consideration of difficulty of requirements and assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of the staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Provides subordinate supervisors and staff with direction and advice regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines.
