The Head of Facilities role takes leadership responsibility for the development and management of soft facilities services at the hospital.
They will act as a front-facing champion for 2gether Support Solutions, and will inspire and manage a team spanning the areas of cleaning, catering, portering, waste, logistics, residential, quality and security.
The roleholder will ensure that, on behalf of 2gether Support Solutions, the soft facilities infrastructure at the hospital supports the provision of high quality, safe care and delivers a positive experience for all service users. In achieving this, the post holder is required to support the General Manager to ensure that the company meets all its statutory and regulatory requirements.
Further responsibilities include:
• Coordinating with clinicians and various departments to ensure that the facilities offering meets operational and stakeholder needs and obligations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for facilities management that align with organisational goals and objectives.
• Manage and develop the Facility Services Managers and Team Leaders on site to ensure that staff are motivated, empowered, receptive to change, and dedicated to achieving performance targets.
• Manage departmental budgets within allocated resource, including forecasting and cost control measures.
• Ensure that the delivery of services by external contractors are monitored to ensure that high standards and value for money are achieved
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be available for out of hours emergency response when required, and have their own vehicle and full driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading, inspiring, and managing a large team across a 24/7 operation. Further requirements include:
• Experience as a Manager at senior level (preferably within a Healthcare environment). Team player with ability to contribute effectively at corporate level.
• A thorough knowledge of HACCP, National Cleaning Standards, and BICS regulations. Clear understanding of the importance of safety and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong Customer Care skills to ensure a customer driven approach in the delivery of services
• Experience managing and controlling budgets with evidence of the effective management of contracts, staff and budgets.
• Proactive attitude, and ability to manage and prioritise workload.
