Incumbent will perform a variety of work involving the operation of motor vehicles in support of the maintenance and repair of roadsides including roads, culverts, bridges, guardrails, etc. Operate diesel and gasoline powered motor vehicles and heavy equipment which typically have a gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds and up to 32,000 pounds; vehicles are usually equipped with air brakes. Operate vehicles, including dump trucks and trash truck, in all kinds of weather over rough terrain, in close quarters, and in heavy traffic. Duties include crack sealing, asphalt patching, refuse/recycling collection, transporting material, and loading trucks with front end loader and/or backhoe. Operate tractors with attached flail and sickle bar mowers to cut grass and brush on shoulders, ditches, and cut banks alongside park roads. Perform operator maintenance on all vehicles operated according to manufacturer and park standards. Complete minor repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment. Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, raking, cleaning drainage ditches, picking up litter, etc.

• Loads and unloads supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc. Moves furniture, removes and sets signs, paints picnic tables and signs, rakes and waters lawns, trims trees and shrubbery, picks up litter, cleans and repairs fire pits.
• Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where soil is hard and compact and must grade or slope; occasionally breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix; fills and levels holes in damaged roads. Moves heavily loaded wheelbarrows and hand trucks; uses heavy type power mowers including adjusting blades, cleaning and oiling. Cuts trees and heavy vegetation with axe, chainsaw, or powered brush cutters; stacks heavy logs, lumber, and sacks of cement, etc., or performs other duties requiring similar judgment and comparable physical effort.
• Performs janitorial duties for buildings and grounds when required.
• Operates and performs minor operator maintenance on light duty motor vehicles such as pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, carryalls, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of up to 4500 kilograms (10,000 pounds). Vehicles are driven on the basis of either specific trip assignments or regularly established schedules and standard routes to transport personnel, supplies, materials, or equipment and tools throughout the park under limited traffic conditions at low speeds.

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering fresh oil to the catering / restaurant trade and collecting used cooking oil.
• Making/taking payment for oil and the maintenance and accuracy of cash/pre-paid cards.

• Accurate recording of information following Oil delivery and / or collection, eg completion of Waste Transfer Notes
• Reporting of missed or failed deliveries on a daily basis to Microsite Manager.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers and prospective customers, assisting with sales efforts when required.

Requirements:

• Driving Licence & Clean Record: A valid UK driving licence with no points or endorsements.(Up to 7.5T)
• Van Driving Experience: Proven experience driving 7.5T in the UK, with a solid understanding of road laws and regulations (6 months minimum)
• Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the Transport Office, customers, and other drivers.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Customer Service Orientation: A friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to engage with customers to enhance their experience.
• Sales Experience (Desirable): Experience in business-to-business sales and achieving sales targets as part of a driving role would be an advantage but is not essential.
