We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented professional to identify and monitor legal, technical and customer specific product requirements for defined categories. You will also define compliance related test requirements for the whole product lifecycle while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities of the role are: 

• Identifying and monitoring relevant laws and requirements. 

• Communicating and reporting upcoming changes and their impact to the business.  

• Continuous risk assessment and action follow-up related to requirements.  

• Defining and updating product technical and legal requirement guideline(s).  

• Defining needed compliance test renewals during product life-cycle. 

• Cooperation with external stakeholders and forums to get information and to influence to the development of requirements.

• Training and coaching organization related to product compliance. Providing support in complex product compliance related cases, and development projects

Your Background:

• BSc level education in Chemistry or equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in product life-cycle compliance

• Solid understanding of product testing methods and processes

• Good technical understanding of materials & substances such as glass, metals and textiles would be beneficial

Job Description

The Senior Engineer manages work in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision. The Senior Engineer is expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. Employees in the Senior Engineer position are fully competent in the use of concepts and procedures. The Senior Engineer identifies problems, develops solutions, and takes action to resolve.

The Lead Engineer is at the specialist level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Responsibilities

• Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity in both inside as well as outside the scope of typical responsibility.
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities; decisions may affect the operations or results of the work group and may have some impact on major projects or department results.

• Install Power Quality Monitors safely at the Utility level and occasionally at the customer if needed.
• Provide Technical Support to internal Distribution and transmission organization on potential solutions for Power Quality issues.
• Provide engineering recommendation to industrial, commercial, and residential customers.
• Formulate solutions to both Duke Energy and its customers based on data evaluations and information gathered. 
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with local field personnel.

Basic/Required Qualifications

Senior Engineer

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.

Lead Engineer

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.

POSITION PURPOSE

• Provides input and assist in establishing the vision and strategic direction for Clinical R&D activities as part of the R&D QA GCP, GLP and Medical Safety Operations Group.
• Provides Clinical QA oversight to ensure that global Clinical Operations activities conducted by Alcon for its medical devices and pharmaceutical products are in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and/ or quality standards.
• Manages the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) audit program across all Alcon franchises to assure clinical related activities are conducted according to Alcon and quality standards and applicable regulations with high degree independence.  

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Provides leadership and sound business ethics in the interpretation and implementation of global GxP compliance programs, computer system and/or software validation and related services and compliance training while ensuring Clinical QA independent assessments.
• Supports clinical research and development activities for all Alcon franchises and Technology Platforms to maximize standardization and compliance.
• Advises senior management of the need for corrective and preventive actions with a key advisory role in the development of action plans and monitoring of effectiveness of action plans as a result of internal and/or external Regulatory audits.
• Ensures senior management awareness of compliance issues impacting regulatory acceptability, by appropriately escalating as per quality risk management.
• Provides support to relevant functions on proper identification and escalation of quality related issues.

• Provides guidance, review, and approval of associated deviations (NCI, CAPAs and Actions) and evaluates effectiveness.
• Provides R&D QA support to Supplier Evaluation Teams, and function as Clinical SME for service providers.
• Leads audit & inspection preparation, conduct and remediation as needed, for both national and local inspections (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA, TUV etc.).
• Contributes to cross-divisional activities including but not limited to FAA, FSCA and/or Market Actions/ Investigational Product Field Actions as assigned.

Scope of work

Drives the Quality, Safety, and Experience (QSE) program for their assigned hospital(s) and/or other service area(s). This individual will understand Corewell Health system-level and local goals, and to co-develop the roadmap of work necessary to achieve them. Use of data and influence to highlight strengths and success as well as opportunities for improved performance. Ability to coach towards excellence and overcome barriers to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinates and integrates work of improvement teams members throughout their hospital or other designated area while maintaining a visible leadership presence locally and within the corporate team, as appropriate. Connects with regional and system functional leadership to stays abreast of new developments in healthcare quality, safety, and experience and provides updates and reference material to the Spectrum Health Quality Committees including board subcommittees as required.

Your challenges:

You will ensure that FHS logistic operations complies with corporate import/export policies, worldwide Customs and government agency regulations while enabling the supply of spare parts under the Airbus FHS business model.

You will be responsible for:

A. Export Control and Trade Compliance: 80%

• Follow the renewal of all import/export licenses/permits/authorizations – worldwide

• Coordinate import/export license application processes to allow timely delivery of controlled products and technologies

• Timely update FHS ERP to control movements of strategic goods worldwide 

• Provide reporting of Export Control goods

• Bring operational support to the different internal (operations, repair, sales, contracts, …) and external (warehouses, Customers, repair shops, …) involved parties

• Ensure that the requirements of Airbus Export Control Directives are cascaded within the SMR processes and communicated to all SMR actors.

• Ensure that every employee in SMR has reached the appropriate level of competence to reach compliance

• Supervise relationship with Trade Compliance Authorities – worldwide

• Ensure transversal collaboration between Export Control Points of Contacts (EPoCs) in S, Data Offices, Data Custodians, other TCOs and the Export Control functions.

• Communicate the applicable export control requirements to the IM Department to adapt tools to reach the compliance objectives (tangible and intangibles) and support deployment and adoption of such tools

B. Customs: 20%

• Support day-to-day operations in compliance with any international Customs & Trade regulations – worldwide

• Ensure the prevention and control of financial risks in connection with Customs formalities – worldwide

• Take active participation into improvement or development projects

• Manage governance with other logistics stakeholders: Transport, Warehouse, Repair, Inventory, Contracts, Tax …

• Produce and deliver engaging and impactful presentations to Senior Leaders describing value, cost, performance, risk and controls, capabilities, and impact to prior or future plans.
• Oversee the satisfactory implementation, support, and transition of strategic business initiatives and ensures that the credit union is operating as efficiently as possible during and after change or implementation.
• Strike the right balance between efficiency and flexibility to improve processes, reallocate assets and drive efficiencies in the pursuit of better performance.
• Ensure accurate, timely and impactful data is provided to business leaders empowering them to make decisions.
• Lead difficult discussions and ensure collaborative agreement.
• Build strong and productive relationships with all staff, ensuring that Digital Experience is positioned as a trusted partner.
• Build strong and productive relationships with key external partners, stay informed new capabilities, roadmaps and align partner capabilities with the credit unions strategic objectives.

Project lifecycle and workflow management (Yes)

• Work with other leaders to establish agreed upon change definitions and timelines.
• Ensure effective project lifecycle management practices are in place to efficiently move projects from ideation, prioritization, research, and business case development into project approval, project kick-off and deployment.
• Ensure the proper project tracking systems are in place and are effective in organizing the project lifecycle.
• Provide transparent and timely project status and insights for other stakeholders.
• Develop effective project prioritization methodologies and ensure they are working as expected. Including 1. bridging gaps on prioritization practices for retail projects verse commercial projects, and 2. Balancing between compliance or regulatory projects against other high impact projects.
• Coach, develop and train staff to ensure they are familiar with project lifecycle management tools and processes needed to effectively manage projects through the lifecycle.
• Develop standard operating procedures and templates to include intake forms, project requirements, resource evaluations, impact analysis, business case, Return on Investment (ROI) calculations, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), scorecards, etc.
• Ensure post User Acceptance Testing (UAT) practices are in place and effective; Including practices to create staff user guides, FAQ’s and other documentation as needed. As well as collaborating with key stakeholders to develop staff readiness training and plans, member communication and anything else needed to ensure successful deployment of new projects.
• Collaborate in the creation of marketing collateral and thought leadership content for digital banking solutions
• Work closely with Development team to identify custom solutions, draft business requirements, test custom software, end deploy custom capabilities.

• Oversees user acceptance testing on new features across the digital landscape.
• Ensures success measurements are developed and tracked.
• Defines and implements “best practices” for digital channel member product access work flows and processes.
• Hosts update calls as required with business stakeholders to review progress and status of solution expansion, partners, and key focus areas.
• Develops and communicates business requirements for internal/external digital tiles via storyboards, process flows, and user stories.
• Assesses/evaluates processes and system improvement opportunities in close collaboration with the product management team.
• Partners closely with the product management team to deliver scalable solutions.

Quality control processes (Yes)

• Ensure effective Quality Control (QC) processes are in place with appropriate reporting to oversee a quality release management process.
• Build effective test scripts and practices to ensure quality releases.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and engage additional resources as needed to expand testing beyond the departments knowledge and capabilities as needed.
• Organize, schedule, and track planned releases to ensure testing capacity.
• Ensure staff is effectively utilizing systems and resources to ensure quality releases.

Online and Mobile Banking support (Yes)

• Ensure support tracking systems are in place, effectively organize support tickets, and ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved.
• Serve as the point of escalation for stakeholders or requestors with issues, resolves conflicts involving scheduling, resources, or technical issues.
• Engage with vendor partners to escalate and resolve key issues as they arise
• Ensure practices are in place to keep stakeholders informed of ticket status. In addition to ticket management systems this could include key stakeholder updates during outages.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years’ experience working across both technical and business focused projects in the banking/financial services industry.
• 10+ years’ in management position developing teams, preferably technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
• Experience leading large complex technical projects with proven track record, Digital Banking project experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating product development cycles and software development schedules in the release of products to market.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in delivery of products/services on tight schedules.
• Extensive knowledge of Digital Banking ecosystem and operations.
• Working knowledge of Quality Control processes, preferred.
• Experience leading a support desk, preferred.
