Summary

We are looking for an experienced Compliance manager to join the Compliance team. This is a newly created role and assists the Head of Compliance in managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Compliance department.

Key Job responsibilities

1. Manage and implement compliance policies and procedures, ensuring that it is sufficient to comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

2. Conduct audit and reviews of business departments, identifying areas of non- compliance and implementation of rectification.

3. Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to the regulators.

4. Keep abreast of updates, changes and trends in regulations, assess its impact on the company’s operations and ensure company is compliant with the regulations.

5. Provide and arrange for compliance related training to employees.

6. Provide advisory on compliance and regulatory matters involving new initiatives and product launches, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

7. Monitor alerts arising from trade surveillance system, review alerts for unusual trading activities and escalate incident to senior management.

8. Manage inspections and queries from the regulators and exchanges.

Requirements

1. 5 to 8 years of compliance or legal work experience in a Financial Institution.

2. Good knowledge of Singapore MAS regulations and the rulebooks of the exchanges.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with colleagues across departments.

4. Good attention to details and the ability to work independently.

5. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

The Assurance Senior is expected to lead various sizes of audit engagements which include planning, performing, reviewing of audit work performed by less experienced personnel and concluding the engagement.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with team members to execute the audit plan and ensure timely completion of the audit engagement
• Work closely with clients and manages their expectations to further nurture on-going client relationships
• Able to identify unethical behaviour and react based on the applicable ethical principles

Requirements

• A degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification in Accountancy
• At least 3 years of external audit experience
• Good command of the English language
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills

Key Duties

• The Mechanical Inspector shall be capable of performing the following duties on his own:
• Check installations of static equipment, coating, painting, piping etc
• Review installation to ensure compliance with construction drawings
• Ensure installation has adequate space with operation and maintenance considerations
• Inspect pressure vessels, storage tanks etc and ensure safety devices are properly installed
• Active role in technical discussions with contractors and equipment suppliers
• Witness the commissioning of rotating and non-rotating equipment
• Proper record keeping of all inspection/witness activities carried out
• Perform inspection for defects clearing.
• Ensure defects are cleared before signing off
• Carry out other inspection/witness activities as assigned.

Requirements

• He should possess a diploma in Engineering from the polytechnics or other instituations. Other similar qualifications would be considered.
• He is preferred to have at least ten (10) years of inspection works in power plant, petrochemical plant or other heavy industries.
• Experience in handling EPC contractors and equipment suppliers will be an advantage.
• Experience with inspection of coating, painting, welding etc will be an advantage.
• Possession of other relevant qualifications and trainings would be favorable considered.
