Job Summary
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the company. This role encompasses both operational quality and supplier quality responsibilities, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety, taste, and consistency. The Quality Manager will work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to implement and maintain quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and manage supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Quality Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive food safety programs in compliance with BRCGS, FDA, and other relevant standards and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to food safety protocols throughout the production process and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular risk assessment, hazard analyses, implement preventive controls and audits of production lines, equipment, and finished products to ensure product safety.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem solving efforts for quality issues and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams to address complex quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with production, R&D and other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Oversee the testing, inspection and line release of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.
- Conduct regular training for employees on food safety practices and regulatory requirements.

Supplier Quality Management
- Ensure that Company Policies and Quality procedures are effectively carried out.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
- Develop and implement supplier quality management programs, including supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Work with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and approve new suppliers based on quality standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of high-quality raw materials.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide regular feedback to suppliers.
Audit and Compliance Management:
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, including BRCGS, FDA, halal and customer audits.
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) in response to audit findings and non-conformances.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and certification bodies to ensure ongoing compliance and certification.
- Stay current with changes in food safety regulations and standards, and implement necessary updates to the company's quality systems.
Customer Complaint Management
- Receive, document, and analyze customer complaints, ensuring all issues are logged accurately and promptly.
- Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints, including root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to resolve customer complaints and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure timely resolution of complaints and maintain detailed records of complaint investigations and actions taken.
- Monitor trends in customer complaints to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives based on analysis of customer complaint data.
- Work with production, R&D, and other departments to address quality issues and enhance product quality.
- Lead regular reviews of customer complaints with senior management and relevant teams to drive continuous improvement.
Our dream candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing quality teams within the food industry, preferably in ready-to-eat snacks.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including BRCGS, FDA, HACCP, Halal and GMP
- Proven experience in managing and preparing for audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
- Experience with supplier quality management and auditing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is a plus.
