Job Responsibilities

1) Operations

4) Managing Legal and Compliance Practices

• Ensures medical records are maintained in a separate, secure and confidential medical file.

Job Title: Facilities Shift Manager – Data Center Operations

Overview:

The Facilities Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing critical data center shift operations, ensuring system integrity, and delivering high-quality service. This hands-on leadership role involves managing maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage shift operations, ensuring optimal performance of power, cooling, monitoring, and security systems.
• Lead and motivate the facilities team, collaborating with specialist contractors as needed.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Define project requirements and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in data center or critical environment operations management.

As a BIOLOGIST- Safety/Facilities/Fleet Manager within the PACIFIC ISLAND ECOSYSTEM RESEARCH CENTER, some of your specific duties will include:

• Apply biological knowledge to support station and field operations across PIERC projects; coordinate with staff to assist with planning, organizing, and implementing complex scientific investigations, including the use of facilities and vehicles.
• Prepare and provide scientific review of scientific reports, journal articles, presentations, and data releases.
• Track and manage project data and field and station operations information using a variety of general software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, etc.) including compiling data, preparing summary tables and figures, and preparing reports for funding agencies and cooperators.
• Conduct limited lab and fieldwork and assisting principal investigators to ensure data and safety procedures are followed and updated as needed.
• Support all required field safety training and certification for PIERC staff.

• Provide technical support to customers, participate in the development of technical solutions, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
• Solid understanding of market trends and competitor activity in the plastic machinery sector
• Able to travel overseas for work if there is a need to (about 30%-40% global)
