1. HR Intern (Communication – Engagement)
· Compile Team Brief sent by various input contributors.
· Craft HR-related communication (posters, infographics, email, etc.), including ethics, COVID-19 to be released on appropriate platforms, e.g. Team Brief, Digital Communication Board, Instagram, etc.
2. HR Intern (Projects)
The student will be attached to the HR Projects team. This team has a number of projects to be carried out, for which the student’s support will be required. The day-to-day job scope includes, but is not limited to:
· Assist in managing the internship programme.
· Process improvement/automation opportunities etc.
· Converting forms to e-forms and automating the flow.
· Any urgent task that arises from daily HR operations. Some examples:
· Consolidating data via various communication methods.
· Monitoring of responses for surveys.
· Preparation of reports and presentation decks.
· On-site tasks to help with coordination of activities, etc.
3. HR Intern (HR Development)
The student will be attached to Human Resources9 Development (HRD) team. The day-to-day job scope includes, but is not limited to:
a) Work with Operations for training enrolment:
· Identify eligible trainees.
· Communications with Operations for enrolment.
· Ensure trainees meets course requirements.
· Track and update enrolment reporting to management.
b) Coordinate and support training logistics:
· Coordinate training resource availability including venue and catering.
· Send training confirmation e-mails.
· Manage requests such as amendments to training dates.
· Maintain and/or ensure that training logistics updated in HR Prosoft training system.
c) Support High Performance Culture programme:
· Maintain and enhance SharePoint site to make supporting resources available to participants.
· Provide ad-hoc program support as required.
d) Support HRD Team in other L&D activities:
· Support Computer Based Learning. e.g. Invigilation.
· Help support the logistics relating to other interns within the company.
· Support other HR related ad-hoc requests.
4. HR Intern (Recruitment)
The student will be attached to HR Recruitment Team. The HR Recruitment Team is constantly working towards recruiting vacancies requested by Hiring Department, e.g. skilled workers (technicians), non-skilled workers (trainee technicians) and support roles.
The day-to-day job scope includes, but is not limited to:
· Shortlisting and scheduling/co-ordinating candidates for interview.
· Attend to candidates who are here for interview (Application form, verify documents, prepare interview assessment form).
· Assessment Center - where recruiters assess a candidate via recruitment tools such as assessment tests, games and so on.
· Assist in onboarding process, e.g. Schedule medical appointments, background checks, fitting & photo sessions, uniform, and safety shoes.
· Coordinate with various department, e.g. interview schedules, create login and loan IT requests.
· Maintain database of interviewees.
· Participate in various job fairs.
5. HR Intern (Compensation & Benefits)
The student will be attached to the HR Compensation & Benefits (C&B) team.
SAESL HR differs from a traditional HR company, in that SAESL has many employees working overtime and on rotating shift pattern. The intern will hence be involved in ensuring that all details (not excluding: MCs, unpaid leaves, allowances, etc) are accurate.
The day-to-day job scope include, and is not limited to:
· Employee Relations & Well‐Being – e.g. Preparing employee communications and documentation, co‐ordinating employee activities and programmes.
· Assist in attendance management (e.g. ensure all absences are accounted, check and key in attendance in Prosoft).
· Assist in payroll process (e.g. ensure OT hours and computation is in accordance to Employment Act).
· Assist in Government Claims Process (e.g. NS, Maternity, Childcare Leave, etc.).
· Administer Leave Management Process (e.g. approve 2-tier leave application).
· Attending to employee queries.
· Assist in collection of documents from HR box (located at staff canteen).
· Sorting/filing of documents.
