Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and works collaboratively with the referral coordination team, facility community care program, the Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) and Specialty Care clinicians, and other staff.
• Interprets and verifies provider orders in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines to schedule, cancel, re-schedule patient's appointments and/or consults.
• Enters no-show information; monitors the unable to schedule entries, prepares for clinic visits; monitors outpatient appointments for
  areas of responsibility; ensures action required encounters are printed to providers in order to obtain appropriate workload credit; verifying and updating demographics and insurance information.
• Processes all emergency and non-emergency transfers to other VA facilities or private hospitals.
• Performs basic eligibility, co-pays and preauthorization requirements for specific coverage.
• Performs assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, outstanding customer service, and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran.

Major Duties:

• The primary function of Maintenance Workers is to clean restrooms, stock restroom supplies and clean other facilities by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
• In addition, maintenance workers collect and dispose of trash from roadsides and parking lots, remove limbs and other obstructions from roadsides and grounds.
• Maintenance workers also operate small equipment such as leaf blowers, string trimmers and hedge trimmers; in addition to operating push lawn mowers and zero turn mowers.
• Maintenance Workers also perform minor maintenance duties on all park facilities and historical structures and assist higher-level tradesmen on more complex tasks.
• Maintenance Workers most often work alone and possess all necessary authority and autonomy to execute normal duties.

• Responsible for ongoing and special administrative duties and evaluate projects assigned by the supervisor or initiated by the employee to meet management and technical staff needs and the necessary coordination, liaison, and correspondence.
• Provide support to technical staff utilizing analytical expertise and technical skills for the collection, review, analysis and information coordination of World Trade Organization (WTO) notifications to the U.S. that impacts FSIS.
• Practices intense organizational and planning skills by assisting leadership and technical staff to achieve FSIS mission and vision with the integration of regulatory, inspection, and enforcement programs for food safety and procedures.
• Assists technical staff with managing and organizing projects and associated data related to day-to-day internal technical engagements and operations with a focus on food safety related activities to ensure organizational support.

• Remains aware of any FSIS food safety updates that may impact OIC and international food safety and assists in creating and providing training or webinars on behalf of technical staff for outside stakeholders.
• Exercises a broad knowledge of administrative services software and data tracking systems to assist with the organization and tracking of all office projects, information, and correspondence.
• Develops sources of information for WTO notifications; identifies and performs analyses of the foreign country issues; analyzes the consequences and prepares and delivers written responses to assist in US reporting requirements.

• The incumbent acts for the AAMD Division Director when the Division Director is away from the office on official travel or leave.
• Develops mission-critical goals and objectives for AAMD by providing leadership and direction.

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Serves as an expert analyst responsible for developing and/or interpreting guidance on program planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Leads or serves as a team analyst or advisor overseeing team members, project leaders, and/or project support personnel.
• Develops long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones.
• Identifies and develops ways to resolve or address issues which directly affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives.
• Researches and investigates new or improved business and management practices for application to operating programs.

• Resource Stewardship - Directs an intricate program of natural and cultural resource management activities and established programs that involves sensitive and complex issues, the entire breadth of natural and cultural resource management, research, compliance, planning, and the application of natural and cultural resource management and law and policy to agency operations.
• Leadership team - Serves as principal advisor to the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and park management team on all technical and professional matters related to natural and cultural resource management, NEPA and Section 106 compliance, planning, and land management. Establishes and maintains highly effective working relationships with other members of the leadership team and makes positive contributions to management of park-wide issues and projects.
• Supervision - Carries out the full scope of supervisory and personnel management responsibilities, including the recruitment, training, counseling and evaluation of resource management staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Serves as the park lead for all aspects of environmental and historic preservation compliance and planning, including park-wide and resource management plans, NEPA, and Section 106.
• Partnerships - Develops partnerships and collaborations within and outside of the NPS with a variety of entities including Native Hawaiian organizations, local, state and federal governments, academia and partner organizations to achieve resource stewardship goals. Represents the superintendent when working with others on resource stewardship issues. Serves as liaison with Native Hawaiian partners and local governments to achieve joint stewardship goals.
