Governance and Quality Maintain quality and ensure PCN activity complies with all relevant legislation and operates in line with agreed Network governance and SOP standards Ensure all PCN business is conducted in line with the Network Agreement Ensure the PCNs compliance with all relevant GDPR and FOI requirements and other relevant legislation and professional standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance. Finance Responsible for achieving the best impact from well-managed finances by: o ensuring the accuracy of any submissions required by the ICB/other authorities to claim all funding entitlement and to ensure that all monies due are received promptly o reviewing and approving operational services spend, monitoring income and expenditure and identifying and reporting to the CD and Network Board any significant deviations from forecast o planning and monitoring income and cash flow to ensure that income is maximised and that funds are available as required Present financial forecasts and budget reports to the PCN Board as required Ensure financial risks are recognised and discussed with the Clinical Director and Network Board members and appropriate action taken Ensure recommendations to the Board regarding allocation of resources are fair and equitable Manage the PCN bank account (currently a sub account within a Practice account) and all delegated budgets with propriety in line with all relevant organisational procedures Liaise with accountant and the Clinical Director to produce year-end accounts and present these to the Board in line with Network Agreement. Relationship Management Ensure engagement of member practices in accordance with the Network Agreement to: o maintain support for agreed PCN-wide activities o foster a culture of collaboration to improve patient outcomes, and resilience and capability across member practices o embed the PCNs ethos and values Develop, agree and deliver an internal and external communication strategy Represent the network at meetings in the community and to the media as required. Prepare supporting slide packs, papers, or other, to inform stakeholders of progress, challenges/blockers, time schedules, milestones on behalf workstream lead.

Lead tiger teams (e.g. Biodiversity Net Gain and Nature Recovery Planning) aligned with DASI prioritised view to ensure delivery against planned outputs.

Managing and tracking benefits and KPI’s through to realisation.

Use various communication methods and have the ability to tailor the communication to audiences of varied levels of seniority and understanding of the subject matter.

Build effective relationships to enable collaboration with key stakeholders (both internal and external) without having formal leadership authority.

Work with and support internal and external colleagues and manage taskings linked directly to focused area of responsibility.

Translate information and requirements from across the business into Business outputs where appropriate.

Line Management:

Whilst there are no current line management responsibilities required in the immediate this may change across the next financial year.

Job Title: Head of PE and Outdoor Education

Location: Longdon Hall School, Staffordshire, WS15 4PT

Salary: Up to £42,200 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the role

The Head PE will lead and manage the Physical Education department, fostering a positive culture of physical health, wellness, and sportsmanship. Your role will be to oversee curriculum development, ensure compliance with educational standards, and create a dynamic and inclusive environment that encourages student participation in physical activities. The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to promoting the benefits of physical education for all students.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive PE curriculum that aligns with national or regional standards.
Oversee and mentor PE staff, ensuring effective teaching practices, professional development, and collaboration across the department.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the PE department, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching and student outcomes.
Organize and manage extracurricular sports programs, inter-school competitions, and after-school sports activities.
Promote inclusivity in sports and physical education, ensuring all students are encouraged to participate, regardless of ability.
Maintain and manage the school's sports facilities and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met.
Develop strong relationships with parents, staff, and external sports organizations to promote a culture of physical health and well-being.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all physical education activities.
Prepare and manage the department's budget, allocating resources effectively to meet program goals.
Lead the organization of school sports events, including sports days, tournaments, and other physical education-related events.
Provide ongoing assessment of students’ performance and progress, utilizing both formative and summative evaluation methods.
Act as a role model, demonstrating a healthy lifestyle and the importance of physical activity.
Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).

The Supply Service are recruiting for a Deputy Care Manager on behalf of a Children's Residential home based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Successful applicants will either be an experienced Deputy Care Manager of a existing Children's Care Home or a Team Leader / Senior who is looking to progress their career further into Management

Shift patterns: 2 on 4 off (with sleep ins)

As a Deputy Care Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, direction and management of the residential young peoples services. The daily running of the home and ensuring the young people receive the highest standards of care tailored to their individual needs. Other responsibilities include staff management, budgeting and ensuring the home complies with all OFSTED standards with the support of a Care Managaer & Head of Care.

Essential capabilities:

Capable or experienced in managing a residential young peoples setting.
Capable or experienced in managing a staff team & staff rotas.
Hold excellent communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Completion of Level 3 Diploma with children and young people or equivalent.
Completion or willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (Or equivalent)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence
A passion for working with young people
An enhanced DBS check
