Role would have a team leader reporting into the who has approx 9 direct reports who are the customer and quality exec who log the defects.

The role is the manager position to ensure the TL and team log and complete all defects in the agreed timescales and work collaboratively with the construction teams to escalate where needed for swift resolution. A strong manager who could pick it up quickly with strong transferable skills. They definitely need to be strong on CRM, excel and reporting.

Qualifications:

A degree in business administration or a related field is often required.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of defect management as they may struggle otherwise with knowing what is wrong with the process/team etc.

Experience:

Experience in customer service, management, or quality assurance can also be beneficial.

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to analyse data and make decisions based on their findings.

Our Chequers division are searching for a Business Support Manager to work closely with the operational management team. You will have line management responsibility of a team including helpdesk and bulk waste administrators, providing proactive, timely and appropriate business support to the department.

As a Business Support Manager, you’ll be:

• Managing the Business Support inbox traffic and actioning requests
• Taking ownership of financials, budgets including P&L analysis and reporting
• Maintaining performance and other data trackers for regions, providing reports and analysis as required.
• Devising, implement, deliver and document new business processes.
• Managing and administering fleet processes for region around company vehicles, company and pool drivers.
• Providing general admin support to your region, including stationery ordering, courier bookings, obtaining quotes and making purchases, booking travel and accommodation where required.

As a Business Support Manager, you’ll have:

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to communicate well both in writing (emails, letters, presentations, and data reporting) and verbally (calls, meetings, presentations, Teams).
• Ability to identify problems and make decisions, demonstrate initiative, and influence change in a fast-paced environment.
• Appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with colleagues from Partner regions and support services.
• A “investigative” and “can do” approach and attitude to all tasks.

What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, as a Transport Office Manager you will lead and inspire a front-line team of cxxx drivers of large goods vehicles (7.5tn and above). You’ll professionalise distribution, ensuring operational work plans are achieved and that our pipeline optimises the flow of parcels and mail, while maintaining compliance with business policies, national work plan and Standard Operating Procedures.

You will deliver results and a better service to our customers through your team by demonstrating trust in all colleagues.
