CLINICAL TRIALS DUTIES To provide effective communication within pharmacy department and with the R&D department, the research team, multidisciplinary team and various UK organisations and pharmaceutical companies. To assist the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Manager in management of the pharmacy aspects of clinical trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust to include initial trial set up. To monitor appropriate storage of all clinical trial products (including clinical trial products stored outside of pharmacy) ensuring storage condition records and accurate expiry records for all clinical trial products are kept up to date and archived for future reference according to GCP and GMP Guidelines. To process amendments to clinical trials e.g. updated pharmacy manuals, promptly and accurately ensuring that trial specific guides and dose preparation worksheets are updated following review and new procedures put in place if applicable. To be responsible for the return and subsequent storage and reconciliation of Clinical trials IMP in line with the relevant pharmacy clinical trial SOPs relating to efficient stock control, issue and return or safe disposal of drugs relating to clinical trial IMP. To supervise the study trial monitoring and study close out visits ensuring that both the pharmacy site files and drug returns are prepared in advance. Also ensuring the completion of any and all follow up actions. To respond quickly and appropriately to all enquiries and queries, directing to most appropriate team member. To carry out archiving of clinical trial documentation and the retrieval of archived documents, if required, ensuring all patient-identifiable data, generated as a result of trials are archived in accordance with clinical trials guidance and legislation. Assist in investigating, reporting and recording of errors and near-misses where appropriate and to prioritise effectively. To assist in the supervision, training and appraisals of the trial STO, ATOs and SATOs. To ensure all staff use pharmacy computer systems correctly in relation to Clinical Trials, that data is entered accurately from prescription forms or any other documentation used in the supply of Clinical Trial IMP and that data is stored and archived appropriately in accordance with local and regionally agreed guidelines. To ensure that all trials are run in accordance with GCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines/department procedures reporting any deviations to the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Manager. To ensure that pharmacy equipment is kept in a clean and usable condition. To attend GCP training/sessions as appropriate and to work to GCP at all times. To participate in the appraisal process and to undertake appropriate mandatory training. Support and participate in the Sponsor led audits and undertaking of internal audits, and assist in the implementation of any necessary action following the audit recommendations. Assist with preparation for inspection by the MHRA, FDA, CQC and other regulatory bodies as required To attend the clinical trials team meeting and other meetings as required. To participate and maintain a record of continuing personal and professional development. PRODUCTION SERVICES DUTIES 1. 1. To oversee, and as required to coordinate, the management of clinical trials prepared in the Pharmacy Production Services to ensure all drug products are prepared to a high standard as set out in study specific documents, standard operating procedures and appropriate guidelines. To prepare the first draft of master product documentation for new products and the first draft of new standard operating procedures under the direction of the Pharmacy Clinical Trial Manager or Advanced Specialist Pharmacist Clinical Trials. To assist with stock control including the production and checking of routine stock checks and ensuring stock rotation and expiry date checks.

Clinical: 1. Providing and delivering a high standard of nursing care by initiating and co-ordinating the assessment, planning and evaluating of individual patients needs based on evidence. 2. Reporting and managing untoward incidents such as complaints, clinical emergencies, and injury or drug administration errors as detailed in Livewell Southwest-wide and local protocols and procedures. 2. Contributing towards ward or clinical projects to set and maintain standards of practice in conjunction with other team members, participating in audits and quality monitoring. 3. Ensuring that resources are used efficiently and in accordance with agreed procedures. 4. Step Teachers are working with a Primary School in Plymouth who are looking for a Year 6 Class Teacher to start full time in January 2025. This is an ongoing long term supply cover role and the school are looking for a Year 6 Class Teacher who is willing to do the planning and marking for this role.

The role is at a 2 form-entry Primary School whose ethos is to support every individual to strive for excellence. The school received a rating of ‘Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools.

Year 6 Class Teacher Role:

• Strong knowledge of the curriculum at Key Stage 2
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

• Hold Qualified Teaching Status
• Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher

About the role

Working across the city, the Neighbourhood Ranger is a member of the Environmental Services team who helps to deliver a seamless and efficient service, whilst being responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s standards are met.

The Neighbourhood Ranger undertakes a wide range of duties including caretaking and cleaning services, grounds maintenance, property clearance, and securing empty homes. Liaising with residents, neighbourhood housing staff, and other members of the organisation will also be required. The Neighbourhood Ranger is responsible for ensuring that our neighbourhoods are safe for customers and that the organisation complies with health and safety best practice and legislation.

Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:

Has experience of caretaking and/or cleaning duties and/or grounds maintenance services.
Has experience of completing minor communal repairs involving basic carpentry, painting and masonry skills.
Has an understanding of Health and Safety at Work.
Holds or will achieve the following within 12 months of appointment: Cleaning Professionals’ Skills Suite; award in the use of ride on and pedestrian mowers (LANTRA); award in bushcutter/strimmer operation (LANTRA); award in hand held hedge trimmer operation (LANTRA).
Has a proven ability to work independently within a team and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
Has excellent organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
Is able to work on own initiative, prioritising own workload to meet targets and deadlines.
Is committed to providing great customer care.

Record and monitor the Consultants attendance/absence in own diary. Apply to the appropriate parties for approval of leave and obtain Consultant cover. Arrange changes to the Consultant Duty Rota as necessary and again notify all parties of such changes. Provide secretarial support for the Junior Doctors working with the Consultants following outpatients clinics. Liaise with the Team/Secretaries and other medical secretaries to cross cover for annual leave and other leave as required, in line with the secretarial standard. Liaising with GPs, patients, carers and other professionals on a daily basis Book patients in for clinical appointments, answer telephone using tact and diplomacy when talking to patients. Take messages or respond appropriately. Maintain Outpatients appointments and implement changes as necessary on own initiative to ensure that the lists run effectively and efficiently. Role Summary: This role will involve delivery of specialist led minor oral surgery in Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC (PDSE). The role holders main focus will be and deliver a specialist led intermediate minor oral surgery service working with local NHS colleagues and other NHS services. The role will also involve some undergraduate and postgraduate oral surgery teaching. Working Relationships: There will be close working relationships with: Senior clinical staff of PDSE and academic colleagues from the Peninsula Dental School including the Clinical Leads for Exeter, Derriford, Devonport and Truro Professor of Community Dentistry Director of Clinical Dentistry Administrative and governance staff of PDSE Staff in NHS Commissioning teams Clinical Duties Clinical duties will be as directed by the line manager and PDSE clinical leadership team. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the development of local NHS services as directed by the Chief Executive. Teaching The appointee will contribute to undergraduate dental student teaching (to include clinical supervision) and postgraduate training. PDSE has a close working arrangement with the Dental School and there may be opportunities for flexible working arrangements to develop career progression. Managerial The management responsibility of the post-holder will be via the Lead Dentist. The post holder will be expected to attend relevant meetings to discuss service, policy and procedure as directed. Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance The post holder will take an active part in department audit arrangements and work closely with the Directors of PDSE to undertake duties as deemed appropriate. Research There may be opportunities to support research in the school relevant to the role and speciality. You will develop a publication profile, partnerships and contribute to the securing of grant funding. You will ensure that research and all related activity is of the highest standard and enhances the reputation of PDSE, the Dental School and University. You will support the wider Universitys mission of being a research informed institution. The post presents an excellent opportunity for you to develop your interests in public health and oral health inequalities. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team comprising clinicians, health service researchers, methodologists, patients and other stakeholders. Our work centres on community engagement and outreach to better understand the oral health needs of vulnerable population groups and their access to care. This work generates an inclusive and multidisciplinary approach to identifying gaps in evidence and optimal approaches to targeting oral health inequalities and inequities.
