The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) involved in the removing, installing, troubleshooting, interrogating, overhauling, adjusting, testing, modifying, calibrating, and repairing of complex integrated aircraft pneudraulic systems and equipment on board conventional/nuclear certified aircraft supported by the organization and to provide training to and evaluation of all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.

Duties:
1. Conducts scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and periodic inspections on all pneudraulically operated systems on/off aircraft in accordance with established procedures.

2. Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated pneudraulic systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment. Performs off-equipment maintenance and bench checks to support the repair cycle.

3. Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work area.

4. Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors, and foreign military.

5. Reviews, verifies, and documents aircraft forms, component forms/tags and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to reflect maintenance actions performed on and off equipment.

• Responsible for the overall management of functions and staff required to support the planning, and delivery of customer support services, including troubleshooting, customer assistance, and or training, in response customer requirements.

Directly responsible to the Military Personnel Flight Commander/Force Support Squadron Commander. Keeps Mission Support Commander abreast of all mission taskings-training, exercise, or contingency, and funding programs that involve Force Support Squadron personnel. Ensures DCAPES in-garrison and deployable systems are ready for deployment at all times. Continually monitors all Air Force and ACC directives to ensure any changes are incorporated into 23d Wing plans. Maintains currency in base OPLANS and existing directives tasking wing personnel and units for deployment.
• Serves as the FSS war planner for all facets of personnel contingencies, exercise, and deployments. Maintains familiarity with all tasked OPLANs and other taskings requiring movement of personnel. Works with the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) to ensure the base's installation deployment plan covers all aspects of processing and accounting for moving forces. Develops personnel inputs to base deployment plans, continuity of operations plan (COOP) plans, and emergency action plans. Works with IDO, the FSS commander, MPF commander, and the PDF OIC/NCOIC in developing centralized in/out processing procedures in support of plans requiring mass movement of forces.
• Maintain the Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) assigned to the FSS. Ensures the DCAPES equipment is loaded by the designated equipment custodian into a deployable ITAMS account. Develop and submit terminal area procedures to the CGGS information security officer. Ensure the implementation of security guidelines established IAW GTASO directives. Report security abnormalities and incidents to the GISSO.
• Coordinate Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) and Personnel Deployment Function (PDF) training and AEF assignment. Responsible for planning and monitoring all DCAPES, PERSCO, and PDF training with the Military Personnel Flight.
