We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee our restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. This role requires a balance of hands-on involvement with strategic planning, from managing the front-of-house team and coordinating with kitchen staff to refining our menu and service offerings. Success in this position will be driven by your ability to lead a cohesive team, maintain high service standards, and optimize operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring both industry knowledge and a passion for hospitality, using their insight to enhance guest satisfaction, streamline processes, and maintain our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. In this role, you will take ownership of restaurant logistics, staff training, and financial performance, with an emphasis on fostering an inviting atmosphere for both guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Experience & Service Quality: Ensure every guest receives attentive and efficient service by establishing clear service standards, training staff, and resolving any guest concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and schedule the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Conduct regular training to uphold service quality, safety, and operational consistency.
• Menu & Beverage Oversight: Collaborate closely with the head chef to curate an appealing menu that reflects seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Review and adjust menu pricing to align with food costs and market trends.
• Operational Efficiency & Cleanliness: Regularly inspect the restaurant to ensure it meets cleanliness, order, and ambiance standards. Implement systems to manage daily logistics efficiently, from table setup to service flow.
• Marketing & Promotions: Develop and execute promotional strategies to attract new guests and retain loyal customers, including special events, seasonal offers, and social media engagement to enhance the restaurant’s visibility.
• Stock & Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, place orders for food, beverages, and supplies, and work with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste.
• Financial Performance & Reporting: Oversee the restaurant’s financial operations, including budgeting, cost management, and payroll. Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and drive profitability.
• Compliance & Safety: Uphold health, safety, and food hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Regularly train staff on safety protocols and food handling best practices.
Requirements:
• Must be living in Australia with an easy reach to North Sydney
• Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a comparable role within food and beverage services.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate a team and maintain composure under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a knack for resolving conflicts and building rapport with guests.
• Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and sales analysis skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
Expected salary: 75,000 - 85,000 AUD / Per Year
