The Office of Division Counsel (Litigation & Advisory) (L&A) provides legal services for the Internal Revenue Service Large Business and International (LB&I) and Small Business/Self Employed (SB/SE) Divisions on tax matters, legal issues, regulations, and needs relevant to individuals filing Schedules C, E, F, and Form 2106, subchapter C corporations, subchapter S corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts. The Office of Division Counsel L&A is a nationwide organization headquartered in Washington, DC, divided into seven geographic areas and one nationwide strategic advisory function. Each Area is responsible for legal work within a defined geographic group. We work with complicated issues of tax law and accounting principles in the context of an expanding global environment. L&A employs over 1,100 attorneys and paralegals nationwide, who provide a full range of legal services on all issues, including advising LB&I and SB/SE compliance agents, handling litigation in the U.S. Tax Court and referring and recommending litigation to the Department of Justice.

As a Supervisory General Attorney (Tax) (Assistant to the Associate Area Counsel), you will:

• Assist the AAC in the supervision of a group of attorneys and paralegals providing litigation support to the IRS.
• Assist the AAC in providing technical guidance on Tax Court litigation activities performed by the Group and assist the AAC in making determinations with respect to settlement of cases independently, or in consultation with the AAC or other senior managers.

Manages respiratory and cardiac emergencies to include performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bag-valve-mask resuscitation, or automatic external defibrillation (AED). Uses and maintains care of emergency equipment such as specialized kits and rescue bags, backboards, suction devices, splints, stretchers, oxygen delivery systems, and monitoring equipment. Controls external bleeding with direct pressure and treats shock. Splints and immobilizes fractures and dislocations for transport. Attempts to ascertain whether the patron has preexisting medical problems and to obtain critical medical history information from the patron. 

Responsible for the supervision and safety of the aquatics staff. Aids employees with suggestions, complaints, and other personnel matters. Informs subordinates of new methods of accomplishing assignments. Conducts screening of prospective staff. Supervises grades NF-01 through NF-03 (and equivalent) staff to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, training and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave; recommending and completing personnel actions; completing performance reviews. The Advanced MSA primary duties are to perform a variety of administrative support functions in connection with Veteran's inpatient and outpatient visits, care, and treatment while working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model. Work involves specialized administrative judgment and the flexible use of a wide range of clinical flow processes relating to access to care across multiple clinics and specialties. Some of the major duties of this position include, and are not limited to:

• Schedule appointments in a timely manner. All appointments will be made with the patient's input, either in person or by phone. This may require a high level of coordination to avoid patients and sending sites not being able to conduct their CVT appointments.
• Daily review of active/pending consults, Recall list, and communications for accuracy and disposition.
• Monitor pre-appointment requirements to assure readiness for virtual (CVT/VVC/phone) visits.
