The Student Trainee (Transportation Program Specialist) Pathways Intern will:

• Assist the Office Director in oversight of FTA-funded projects and provides project management advice and direction to regional programs to assist in the implementation and completion of capital, operating and planning grants. be responsible for the oversight aspects and project management aspects of FTA projects. Maintains records for grantees regarding project status, Triennial Reviews (TR), FTA grantee reviews, audits, and maintains computer program tracking system on each.

• Review financial and progress reports on capital, operating and planning projects and determines whether project is proceeding as scheduled. Prepare correspondence asking for further explanations on deviations or problems, if required, as a basis for corrective action.

VA Illiana Health Care System is currently seeking outstanding full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained physicians to join our Community Based Primary Care Clinic team in our Peoria Clinic. This incumbent will be responsible to provide comprehensive care, under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model, to a panel of patients managed under PCMM guidelines. The incumbent is expected to be attentive to patient education, preventive care and be able to work well in an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality primary care. • Timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) is necessary in all areas in accordance with facility policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion
• Clinical reminders should be addressed as medically appropriate. Quality of care should meet professional standards at all times

This position is responsible for actively participating in an Internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge and capabilities on the Supplier Management team while exposing you to different methodologies and tools. Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC supports 18 summer courses from May through August in 2024 at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, MA consisting of students and faculty attending from 30+ countries around the world.

The Zeiss Training Group Summer Interns at MBL are an integral part of our summer support structure. Once interns are oriented, their primary role is to support student and faculty image acquisition activities throughout the summer. This includes basic set up of widefield microscopes, an understanding of Kohler illumination, brightfield, phase contrast, DIC and fluorescence contrasting methods, troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues, as well as conveying an understanding of what constitutes a good scientific image and how to prepare for and carry out image analysis. 

Here's What You'll Do:

This will be an opportunity to learn, operate and support more advanced systems as well, including laser scanning confocal microscopy, Airyscan and potentially other super-resolution techniques. MBL Interns must have good analytic and time management skills, and be detail oriented and conscientious. Additionally, be able to work closely with people from a diverse range of cultural and scientific backgrounds. Inventory and QC along with tracking of equipment is critical. An outgoing disposition is an advantage, with a willingness to proactively engage with faculty and students. Working in overlapping shifts will be essential, so enjoying a strong team environment but also being able to work independently, are both essential for a successful internship.

Do you qualify?

• Student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in biology, physics, optics, biochemistry or related field.

• Skilled in microscopy, optics, and imaging with a focus or interest in biology.

• Proficiency in computing hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work independently for periods of time.

Candidate will have a designated mentor and supervisor for duration of internship. There will be a project you work to develop over the course of your internship with your mentor and the team members you work with. The final project presentation will be delivered to the ZEISS leadership team in White Plains at end of the internship and you may share this afterwards as your work product for the internship. The Sr. Specialist, Internal Communications & Channels will be a member of the Corporate Communication team. Responsibilities will include helping manage the company’s internal communications and channel strategy which will include a need for mastering the intranet’s CMS (Content Management System), helping drive content governance and compliance, and managing a global group of content intranet editors. Primary responsibilities
