• Working effectively with the team towards achieving business goals

Your team

You will work in Corporate Actions Team in Singapore. Team is responsible for research and maintenance of Corporate Actions in the APAC region, with a view to collecting Portfolio Managers’ responses, reflecting them in systems, instructing the custodians, posting cash and stock transactions in our accounting system and reconciling positions.

Working hours fall between 9:00 and 18:00.

Your expertise

You have:

• Experience of corporate action management / operational experience
• Previous client service experience and a strong ability to interact with and support client requirements
• Self starting team player
• Analytical and quantitative aptitude
• Adaptability to learn new tasks and demonstrate a willingness to understand the detail of a process.
• Control focused
• Understanding of process flows: Ability to look at the overall process and explain it to others.
• Ability to plan and distribute work in the team

We’re looking for a Business Manager to:

• support the Local Operating Officer in all aspects
• participate in the local Front-to-back (F2B) Forums / Committees, provide challenge and ensure the timeliness, quality and content of materials. Coordinate meeting agenda & materials, logistics set-up, and be responsible minute taking
• actively participate in Group / Regional / Global governance forums as representative for AM Singapore ensuring the appropriate transparency and escalation of key risks
• support the implementation of the Operational Risk Framework in the location, including; activities relating to Control Assessments (KPCi), the oversight and closure of Operational Risk Issues (ORI) and the annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
• be a culture carrier to drive a proactive culture of risk, conduct and escalation in the location through supervisory and risk management training. Provide insights to improve awareness and escalation of risks
• support the Location Head / LOO in the planning & coordination of local projects and strategic initiatives

Your expertise:

• ideally 5 or more years’ relevant experience in the asset management business manager, risk, operations, compliance, or similar role
• possess asset management domain knowledge in front-to-back office functions
• exposure in banking or asset management business and practices, systems, processes and controls
• understanding of global best practices in the financial industry and ability to bridge with the entire organization
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and schedule workload
