• Performs various administrative, analytical, and staff support for the Superintendent and their Front Office, HQ, and USAFA. Performs faculty duties as the Head Coach Men's Soccer in the Department of Athletics, United States Air Force Academy. Will teach undergraduate courses in Physical Education, manage and instruct competitive athletic programs, perform assigned departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization; and participate in course and curriculum development.

Manages all facets of the intercollegiate men's soccer program. Effectively instructs cadets on the sport of soccer and related strength and conditioning programs. Effectively administers, manages, and coordinates organizational aspects of the intercollegiate men's soccer program, including but not limited to, lesson planning, scheduling, budgeting, recruitment of cadet candidates, maintenance of supply and equipment, and safety of athletic facilities and physical training. • Ensures that the swimming area is open to patrons at the scheduled times and that authorized persons only are admitted to the area.
• Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed.
• Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, ocean conditions of rough water or hazards, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail.

Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Education Program Specialist for the Department of Astronautics, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Assists in promoting, coordinating, and improving education policies, programs, standards, activities, and opportunities in accordance with national policies and objectives for a formal, undergraduate educational program. Assists in academic program management, content delivery/refinement, to leverage student information systems and other platforms supporting student learning, to request/administer research grants, to work special projects, and to provide administrative support.

This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of Education Program Specialist. Incumbent will work closely with the supervisor in performing duties identified in the full performance standard core personnel document/core document. When the supervisor determines that full proficiency has been acquired, a Request for Personnel Action (RPA) will be submitted to the Civilian Personnel Office with an annotation that the incumbent is performing the full range and scope of duties and responsibilities for promotion.
