Job Description:

· General cleaning, wiping and washing and sanitizing work areas and items.

· Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.

· Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.

· Emptying trash bin.

· Liaising with the Supervisor to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times

· Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.

· Informing the Supervisor of repairs that need to be done.

Responsibilities:

· Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines

· Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production

· Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping

· Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.

· Plan proper sequence of task to complete the assignment

· Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary

· Check output for quality assurance and documents or discard defects

· Indentifies need for and performs machines maintenance and minor repairs

· Maintains a safe and clean workstation

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

· Excellent coordination and mechanical skills

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety

· Solid written and verbal communications skills

· Proficient in math

· Basic computer skills

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive task

· ITE(NITEC), Higher NITEC or equivalent

· No experience but with great interest in machinist job

· Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly

· Working knowledge of safety protocols

· Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred

· Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed

· Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors

· Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports

· Make recommendations for improvement

· Create training materials and operating manuals

· Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures

· Performing routine inspections and quality tests

· Identifying and resolving workflow and productions issues.

· Prepare ISO9000 for yearly audits

· Some technical background on electronics or mechanicals

· Polytechnics diploma or equivalent
