Gloucester House Outreach Service is a unique service, offering skills and experience in both mental health and education. Although it has links, and some shared staff and working arrangements with Gloucester House, it is a service that can be purchased separately by local authorities or schools. The service works with children, families and the professional network around the child – for example schools, CAMHS and children’s services.

The multi-disciplinary service offers bespoke multi-disciplinary education and clinical interventions for children, schools, families and networks to support pupils with complex SEMH needs to remain in school. It also provides specialist integrated education and therapeutic packages within the community where a child is unable to be educated and supported within a school setting.

The service also offers specialist consultation and trainings to schools or other partner agencies in the context of supporting children with SEMH needs through the Gloucester House Outreach model.

The Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) is the largest and oldest gender clinic in the UK, dating back to 1966. We accept referrals from all over the UK for adults with issues related to gender. We accept referrals for patients who are aged 17 years and older onto our waiting list. Patients will not be offered an appointment before their 18th birthday.

We are a multi-disciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists, speech and language therapists, and nurses. We work together to provide holistic gender care, focusing on the biological/medical, psychological and social aspects of gender.

The role of the Gender Clinical Lead Nurse provides clinical leadership and management to the GIC nurses with interface other gender clinics. The lead nurse will focus on the development of the GIC nursing profession and support quality improvement. They will also be responsible for the nursing pathway development, working alongside the Clinical Director This will involve helping to develop and deliver the clinical strategy through co-production with service users, carers and staff.

Working closely with the Course Lead(s) and colleagues in Portfolio Support, the role holder will be involved in all aspects of course delivery including scheduling the curriculum, identifying space needs, producing and publishing course materials and arranging assessments. They will also provide support directly to our students, providing information on course requirements and acting as the main point of contact in all matters relating to course operations. The post involves administrative support for course tutors, portfolio managers, and students across various courses. The post-holder is a specialist speech and language therapist and will provide specialist interventions, under appropriate supervision, in voice and communication therapy for trans and non-binary patients both within individual and group settings according to competencies set down by service and in line with Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. The post-holder will use developing knowledge and skills in voice and communication therapy, voice pedagogy, psychological approaches appropriate in voice work, and cultural sensitivity through ongoing training and supervision to deliver gender-affirming voice work. The specialist child psychotherapist is responsible to provide leadership for the psychotherapy team as part of the clinical team within the service. The post holder will be part of the Senior Leadership Team in the service and will contribute to the task of managing change and service improvements, whilst maintaining quality and safety and identifying, mitigating and managing risks.

This role clinically manages psychotherapy trainees and provides reflective practice for non-clinical staff. The post holder will, as part of the SLT, lead the workforce in the improvement of the patient / service user journey, monitoring and responding to patient experience feedback.

The post holder will ensure that care plans and clinical interventions are effective and safe and will disseminate practice developments and examples of good practice throughout the service.

The post holder will retain clinical duties within the service line, offering expert advice for more complex cases .

The post holder will work with the integrated education and clinical leadership team in the development and delivery of an integrated educational and CAMHS provision for children and young people between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 3. Gloucester House forms part of the Tavistock Clinic and is managed by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. It is a specialist school and CAMHS team which provides education and clinical services for up to 21 pupils aged 5-14 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs, often alongside other learning difficulties such as specific language or literacy difficulties and sometimes more general learning difficulties. Many of the pupils are neurodiverse.

Gloucester House aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment through an effectively integrated educational and therapeutic approach to promote the holistic development of the children and young people.

All the pupils at Gloucester House have an EHCP, some pupils are looked after or adopted, and many have had multi-agency involvement prior to attending Gloucester House.

Children and young people at Gloucester House have full time education together with a clinical care plan that may include individual or group work. All families have a clinical case coordinator and Parents, and Carers are offered 1:1 and/or family interventions or group sessions as appropriate.

The Gloucester House multi-disciplinary team includes teachers and progress support workers, specialist CAMHS nurses, a psychiatrist, child psychotherapists, creative therapists, CYPT-IAPT Practitioners, systemic family practitioners, an occupational therapist and a speech and language therapist.





The post holder will hold their own complex caseload within the team including responsibilities for risk management and clinical governance, planning and prioritising these. Undertake clinical assessments of service users/patients and offer highly skilled treatment or therapy using appropriate therapeutic modalities.

Work with team manager on intake and referral coordination.

Provide consultation to external agencies as required such as GPs/schools/Local authorities.

Review cases where patients have impasses, complaints, or disputes with their clinical care.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a permanent course administrator to work within our Directorate of Education and Training, to support the smooth running of a portfolio of courses within the Course Administration function. Working closely with the Course Lead(s) and colleagues in Portfolio Support, the role holder will be involved in all aspects of course delivery including scheduling the curriculum, identifying space needs, producing and publishing course materials and arranging assessments. They will also provide support directly to our students, providing information on course requirements and acting as the main point of contact in all matters relating to course operations. In addition, there will be flexibility in the role to offer support across the Directorate as required to manage peaks in activity through the academic year.

This role would suit someone with previous Higher Education experience who wishes to work across a wide range of varied and interesting student support and administration activities

The post involves administrative support for course tutors, portfolio managers, and students across various courses. Acting as the main contact point for course-related issues, the role includes arranging and communicating timetables, booking spaces for course delivery, and assisting with operational tasks . The postholder will cover the Academic Hub on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities include administering the assessment process, arranging Course Committee and Staff/Student meetings, and taking formal minutes. The role also engages in course inductions, including DBS processing for clinical programmes.

Maintaining and updating course documentation and accurate student records in the SITS system is crucial.
