The role

The Category Manager (ITS) provides leadership, direction and maximises value being delivered to the University for the categories under their management. The main activities include determining Division/School requirements, assessing supply markets, developing strategic category plans, and managing supplier contracts, performance, and risk. The Category Manager will engage with senior stakeholders within the RMIT organisation and supplier community to understand long-term university aspirations that can be enabled by third party relationships. The Category Manager will work to deliver process innovation that targets demand management and drive simple and effective use of processes and systems. The Category Manager works closely with other Procurement team members to operationalise best practices, savings initiatives and drive innovation. The position is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in developing and implementing Procurement Strategies for the assigned categories.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Category Management

• Develop and implement strategic category plans based on market research and whole of life cost analysis to optimise value for money outcomes whilst meeting Divisions/Schools stakeholder needs and expectations;

• Develop a sourcing pipeline and engage the Procurement Specialist(s) for the execution of go-to-market initiatives;

• Develop initiatives to improve spend and Divisions/Schools procurement compliance;
• Build effective relationships and trust with Divisions/Schools and implement category management plan to meet their needs while identifying internal demand management opportunities;
• Build and maintain effective relationship with RMIT University Procurement team in general and Category Management team in specific to maintain awareness of group direction and shared knowledge of assigned categories;
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on category objectives;
• Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and the procurement category, to encourage innovative practices and support delivery of process and policy directions;
• Collaborate with the other team members and cross-functional working groups to achieve a high-level of performance, integration and consistency in procurement across the category;
• Maintain detailed knowledge of category markets, suppliers and stakeholders to drive category relevant strategies, projects and innovations.

2. Strategic sourcing

• Support sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations and supplier contract execution;

• Conduct specific market analysis; spend analysis and stakeholder consultation to propose effective market strategies in the procurement plan to deliver the universities requirements;

• Source and execute frame contracts and/or preferred vendor agreements by pooling demands across the maximize negotiation power and optimize vendor prices;
• Ensure that the probity associated with the source-to-contract process is never compromised by paying particular attention to critical paths in the process including but not limited to the development and execution of the market strategy, bidders list, evaluation criteria and evaluation panel membership.
• Negotiate the most appropriate contract to deliver the universities requirements based on sound procurement principles linked to total cost of ownership, value creation and risk mitigation;
• Engage RMIT Legal and Compliance team at the appropriate points in the process for efficiency and quality of outcome;
• Ensure that contract outcomes are fully documented in accordance with procurement procedures, awarded on time and that the outcomes are clearly communicated to all parties involved and internal stakeholders.

3. Vendor Management

• Maintain and nurture strategic supplier relationships at management levels driving service delivery while extracting value-driven outcomes and challenging suppliers to optimise service outcomes;

• Manage the commercial business relationship with suppliers and support the Divisions/Schools to manage poor supplier performance;

• Create strategic supplier performance scorecards to support supplier performance and contract management;
• Conduct annual performance review and analysis for key vendors with high impact on operation;
• Optimize the number of vendors based on a supply chain optimized design that

• aligns vendors within a vendor management framework
• with clear outcomes of drastically reduced vendor numbers and manageable vendor relationships
• that consolidates spend strategically to generate leverage and service improvement.

4. Control and Compliance

• Ensure probity, transparency and compliance in all activities;

• Member of Internal audit team for purchasing activity audits as required;

• Identify and take action upon actual or potential risks in the course of operation;

• Evaluate on a regular basis the effectiveness of relevant processes and controls, and take up discussion with manager as necessary;

• Maintain sustainable procurement practices aligned with leading practice systems, process, policy, and probity, protecting the credibility of the central procurement function.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Strong Category and Commercial Management background with at least 5 year experience across development, creation and execution within ICT specific categories, ideally within a complex tertiary education or similar service environment.
• Experience in utilising standardised policy and procedure while still delivering optimum commercial outcomes;
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders/vendors at senior management level;
• Demonstrated ability to work with detail, analyse data in an organised and objective manner and determine actions based on data analytics and insights gathered, and to develop opportunity assessments from complex data sources;
• Leadership skills in a cross-functional team environment in matrix environment;
• Strong commercial awareness skills and an ability to apply this to the Education sector, acknowledging difference and similarities;
• Interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships;
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead external stakeholders;

Position Summary

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality talent acquisition, onboarding support and guidance to a variety of Schools and departments across the University in Vietnam. Key Accountabilities

Partnership and communication

•     Build and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders across the business and externally

•     Partner with hiring managers and/or HR Business Partners to determine talent needs, develop and execute immediate and long-term recruitment strategies to meet unit business objectives and needs

•     Provide strategic recruitment consultation and proactive sourcing strategy to hiring managers to meet talent acquisition needs, positively influencing recruitment outcomes to ensure top talent is recruited to RMIT Vietnam.

•     Follow the established policies and procedures and communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders involved in the recruitment and selection process

Talent Acquisition

•     Partnering with the business and across a range of key stakeholders create and provide innovative and sustainable talent acquisition solutions.

•     Managing full-cycle recruitment activities including job briefing, job advertisement, sourcing, screening and evaluating candidates, participating in panel interview with Hiring Managers and supporting final selection process, offer, reference checking, offer and onboarding.

Reporting

•     Ensure data integrity is always maintained and regularly provide recommendations for system improvements.

•     Support analysis and reporting on different recruitment metrics including but not limited to sourcing channels, recruitment pipelines, onboarding, etc.

•     Contribute to budget planning activities and workforce planning projects as required

Coaching, mentoring and collaborating

•     Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to more junior members of the TA team and the wider HR team, to positively influence business outcomes and behaviours and to ensure ‘best practice’ is adhered to.

•     Provide training and guidance for new joiner to the TA Team

•     Support and collaborate with other team members to achieve their development goals with regards to recruitment related project activities.

Key Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree qualification in field relevant to Human Resources.

• Strong experience in Talent Acquisition working for highly matrixed international organisation

• Internal recruitment experience is desirable.

• Previous experience of guiding, advising and consulting with expatriate staff is essential.

POSITION SUMMARY

The (Associate) Lecturer will be required to teach and conduct classes in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration in line with the University’s quality assurance requirements. The Associate Lecturer is also required to undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. It is expected that the (Associate) Lecturer will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy.

The (Associate) Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the University, in disciplines related to their field of expertise. 1. PhD or equivalent relevant Doctoral qualification from a recognised institution.

2. For Associate Lecturer: A Master degree in the relevant discipline; have commenced or enrolled to commence in Doctoral course is preferred.

3. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at the undergraduate level, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high-quality curriculum or program materials.

4. Proven proficiency in 2D and 3D Animation, and two or more of the following:

5. Ability to undertake course coordination role.

The role

The Legal Manager supports the Senior Manager, Legal to manage the University legal projects, manage contracts, oversee knowledge management function and custody of the University’s corporate documents and seal, and provide legal advisory services as required to ensure the compliance with external legislative requirements, to manage the policy & compliance and to support the effective operation of the university's primary activities and management processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Contracts

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on the preparation of all contracts, and other legal agreements (such as NDAs)
• Work with internal stakeholders to increase awareness and skills in relation to contract management and legal risk, partnering with key individuals within the organisation to identify potential legal issues as they arise.
• Support the continued improvement of standard form agreements, contract management and legal processes and implement improved systems and procedures where required.

2. Project management: to manage all legal projects of the University (e.g. University operation under the Law on Higher Education, licensing matters of the University, litigation cases, application of e-signature, process for receiving/granting sponsorship/donation of the University, retention policy) specifically:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the satisfactory execution of projects;

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
• Support in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders;
• Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress;
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
• Monitor project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

3. Knowledge management (KM): to oversee knowledge management function within the legal & compliance services which ensures that knowledge is maintained, shared and accessible to team members when necessary:

• Design and implement effective knowledge management process;
• Maintain comprehensive database of all internal and external legal and compliance advice;
• Coordinate and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions of legal & compliance services/internal trainings of legal & compliance for University stakeholders by identifying topics, engaging the internal/external resources, and maintaining documentation;
• Coordinate and facilitate legal & compliance trainings for internal stakeholders by identifying topics, engaging the internal/external resources and coordinating the training sessions;

4. Legal advisory: to provide legal advisory services to University stakeholders:

• Research and give advice regarding business decisions and operations;
• Draft agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the University’s full legal rights;

5. University Secretary: to develop process and manage all University’s key corporate documents, records and the seal and provide support to stakeholders as required.

6. Policy & Compliance

• Contribute to the management, development, implementation and maintenance of policy strategy and an effective policy and delegations framework to support the University’s strategic plan.
• Support the manager with continuous improvement activity and major policy and governance projects and activities, including the analyses and reviews of policy documents, and facilitating the development of new policy.
• Coordinate the delivery of policy communication initiatives, training and awareness programs and guidance to foster good practices and to support a robust policy and governance framework.
• Manage the University’s policy governance framework policy repository and end user web presence.
• Assist with the management and review of the University-wide policy repository, ensuring currency and accuracy of content.
• Liaise with policy authors to ensure policy content is timely, relevant, accurate and current and is compliant with the policy governance framework.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of best practice in creating and maintaining policy content and communicate policy development and changes to key stakeholders.

7. University reporting:

• Coordinate with internal team for data provided.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of database information and formatting.
• Ensure compliance with local laws.
• Ensure continuity and timely reporting on an ongoing basis.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate decision maker

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• L.L.B. from a law school in Vietnam;
• Member of a local bar association
• At least 7 years of working experience in international law firms/ corporation;
• Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex legal projects;
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining a KM management system;
• Proven legal advisory experience in education sector is preferred; 
• Ability to work independently as well as teamwork;
• Demonstrated good communication, investigative, time-management and negotiating skills;

The role

The Manager, Staff Wellbeing will work with various teams within RMIT (Wellbeing, Safer Communities, OHSSS, etc) to help drive Strategic Wellbeing Actions Plans. A key focus for this role will be to successfully design and deliver RMIT Vietnam’s first Staff Wellbeing Program, this will include developing initiatives that are focused on mental and physical wellbeing of RMIT Staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and deliver a strong, robust, and sustainable strategy focused on ensuring a safe and welcoming culture at RMIT Vietnam.

• Create and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, trainings, workshops, and initiatives that demonstrate and foster RMIT Vietnam’s commitment to staff wellbeing.

• Develop and maintain a confidential reporting system for wellbeing incidents, activities, inquiries, etc.

• Create and maintain an appropriate SLA with regards to wellbeing case management.

• Provide advice and assistance in coordinating support for impacted staff.

• Lead complex case management for staff, including partnering with the Employee Relations team to ensure support and thorough investigations where appropriate.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and RMIT Vietnam Leadership to ensure successful delivery of wellbeing projects, programs, and support initiatives.

• Primary SME for ongoing development and delivery of policy, procedures, guidelines, and resources for enhanced staff wellbeing.

• Primary SME for keeping up to date with local regulations pertaining to the mental, physical wellbeing, and protection of staff.

• Manage quality assurance and ensure best-practice of health and wellbeing service provision, including health services contracted from third party providers.

• Develop and maintain collaborative networks with RMIT Melbourne to ensure key policies that underly Wellbeing are consistent but contextualised to inform best-practice in the delivery of Staff Wellbeing initiatives and programs.

• Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to staff members in the Human Resources department.

• Support other projects and activities as directed that build the impact of the Staff Wellbeing Team and Human Resources Department.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Bachelor's in social work, psychology, counselling and/or education. Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working With Children check.
• Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualification in social work, psychology, counselling and/or education.
• Membership/eligibility for membership with respective professional Psychological, Counselling, or Social Work Association is essential.
• Significant experience (five (5) years or more) in assessing and providing individual counselling to a wide variety of client groups, preferably in an organizational context.
• Proven knowledge in mental health, phycological risk management, and psychological first aid, with a commitment to creating positive change in an organisational setting.
• Experience with delivering health and safety advisory service to a complex organization.
• Successful in implementing wellbeing strategy plans.
• Experience in writing wellbeing policy and guidelines.
• Experience in safety audits.
• Very strong communication skills, including experiencing in producing high quality guidance materials, briefings, reports, and other project related documentation for senior leadership.
• High level of confidentiality, commitment to innovation, agility, and collaboration.
• Substantial practice experience and expertise in understanding counselling approaches suited to a culturally diverse staff population.
