Catering Sales
To achieve sales targets and expand the business.
- Respond to sales enquiries and ensure conversion.
- Proactively sell Catering Products to new and existing clients.
- Proactive account management of existing clients to grow revenue.
- Work closely with the Banquet Operation Team and Kitchen Team for catering requirements to ensure consistently high standards.
- Manage special event requests and internal clients.
- Input and keep up to date the database of clients and prospective clients to maintain a reliable database.
- Management of client contracts and paperwork.
- Follow the invoicing process to ensure that payments are properly processed.
Outlet Event Sales
To achieve sales targets and expand the business.
- Respond to sales enquiries and ensure conversion.
- Proactively sell outlets venue to new and existing clients
- Meet clients onsite to view venues and negotiate agreements.
- Proactive account management of existing clients to grow revenue.
- Management of client contracts and paperwork.
- Follow the invoicing process to ensure that payments are properly processed.
Travel Agent Booking Reservation
To achieve sales targets.
- Respond to reservation email and made bookings on system and reply to confirm within one day.
- Work with Chef and Operations to maximize outlet capacity to achieve incremental sale.
- Work closely with the Kitchen and Outlet Operation team for travel agent requirements to ensure consistently high standards.
Administration and processing information
- Manages pipeline and records enquires system to ensure banquet operations is aware of upcoming bookings and prospective orders to manage manpower.
- Processes catering orders and banquet event orders.
- Ensure correct billing for events as per SOP.
- Input to and keep up to date the database of clients.
- Prepare weekly forecast of catering orders and communicate with the Banquet Operations team.
- Ensure data is maintained and able to be provided for management reports.
- Assist in developing catering menus and event sales packages.
- Ensure all billings are process on time for every confirmed event.
To work as part of a team
- Be a team player motivating peers and subordinates in support of department goals in sales and operations.
- To manage and develop interdepartmental relations while not compromising customer satisfaction, revenue, profitability, or associate morale of department.
Successful event coordination/delivery to consistently high standards
- Supervise event planning and delivery.
- Work closely with banquet operations for event and catering requirements to ensure consistently high standards.
Collaborate with other departments and operational staff to ensure a high quality of event delivery
- Ensure positive guest feedback is received.
Related administration
- Contribute to Business Operations department through collaborative discussions and related projects.
Corporate development
- Understanding and supporting the vision and mission of MFLG.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred hotel management experience.
- Experience in the field of catering and event services preferred.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Min. 3 years of experience with event sales, planning, and execution of mid to large-scale physical/hybrid events, including weddings, corporate and school events.
- Proactive, motivated, and self-driven in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to engage in a friendly and professional manner with business partners and clients.
- Strong business agility and able to curate experiences by packaging events and relevant products together.
- Detail-oriented and disciplined about delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Willingness to work on weekends or odd hours (will be compensated with off-in-lieu).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
