Job Overview
The Deputy Centre Head will play a key role in managing the centre's daily operations. This includes leading staff, ensuring top-quality service delivery, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for both learners and team members. Strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to working with individuals with special needs are essential for success in this role.

Centre Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the centre to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
- Oversee the well-being and safety of all learners and staff.
- Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Administration
- Handle enquiries, centre visits, and registrations.
- Monitor and manage the centre’s budget to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of service.
Staff Management
- Guide, mentor, and oversee staff to ensure staff remain motivated and effectively complete their assigned tasks.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure sufficient coverage at all times.
Programme Planning & Implementation
- Work with the team to design, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to learners' needs, while ensuring that daily activities are effectively carried out.
- Work with external partners and stakeholders to enhance programmes offerings.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of services provided.
Community Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with the local community, stakeholders, and partners.
- Promote the centre’s services and activities through outreach and networking efforts.
- Represent the centre at community events and meetings.
Skills Requirements:
- Dedicated to the education and support of youth/adults with autism
- Demonstrates compassion and patience
- Strong team player
- Computer literacy skills in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualification / Experience
- Minimum Diploma from a recognised educational institution.
- Experience in Special Education, Nursing, Counselling, Care Services and working with youth/adults with autism through Community Service is an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial / mentoring role within a similar setting.
