The Position:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Masterplanner to join our team. As a Masterplanner, you will provide design inputs to high-profile international urban design projects, ranging from large-scale city strategies to district-scale masterplans.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional design skills, the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in urban design.

Responsibilities:

• Design of Pre-concept and Concept Masterplan schemes for high-profile urban design projects.
• Develop urban design strategies, diagrams, and technical studies.
• Coordination between other team members and external consultants.
• As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an active part in Client presentations, explaining urban design concepts and technical inputs.

Qualifications & Capabilities:

• Background in architecture and/or masters in urban design or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of masterplanning experience in relevant field.
• Strong design and hand-drawing skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• High graphical, verbal, and written skills to communicate urban design concepts and technical inputs.
• Strong computer aid skills such as AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and Adobe package.
• Understanding of international standards and requirements.
• Excellent organisational and collaboration skills with the Urban Design team, architectural team and external consultants.
• Out-of-the-box thinking and willingness to hit the ground running.
• Responsibility to work independently.
• A proactive approach to responding to project challenges and exceeding Client’s expectations.

We are a multi-disciplinary design studio, working across multiple sectors, regions and scales. A studio that consists of urbanism, architecture, landscape designer and interior design. We are currently looking for a Director of Architecture to join the Singapore Studio with a primary focus on the Vietnam market.

The role has an important part to play within the team. The focus will be on developing the Vietnamese market, helping to expand the portfolio, the team and strengthen collaboration between the Architecture and Urbanism units. Interest in research and new industry solution is expected, as well as the ability to mentor and pass knowledge on to more junior team members.

The role will require:

· Knowledge of the South East Asian markets with emphasis on Vietnamese markets, its cultural and design context, as well as the working environment

· Management skills, with the ability to delegate, organise and lead complex projects and a large team

· Understanding of workflows and industry software in order to manage the team and process efficiently and knowledgeably

· Good client management skills and a proven track record of successful lead generation through business development

· Ability to travel abroad and coordinate work with other teams based remotely

· Skilled in managing the wider consultant’s teams; ability to track scope changes, and sub-consultant's deliverables; ability to manage project risks and flag those to the relevant parties in charge in a timely manner

· Interest and ability in managing projects in the BM’s Business Management system and developing the skills to ensure the smooth running of projects

· Creative - with the ability to hand sketch plans and urban design solutions

· A creative way of approaching projects, communication of ideas, and way of working

· Interest in industry innovation – to push new ideas and inspire colleagues

We are currently looking for an Associate Director / Director of Urbanism to join the Singapore Studio with a primary focus on the international market with an emphasis on South East Asia and Middle East markets.

The role has an important part to play within the team so a desire to develop new markets and work closely with the wider team, and also the senior leadership team within the Masterplanning team, to expand the portfolio and reach is expected. The focus will be on the International markets, helping to expand the team and strengthen collaboration between urbanism and architectural units, as well as expanding the working relationship with other BM urbanism studios.
