Serves as a Staff Support Specialist (MSS-1) at a Terminal facility. Responsible for tactical, strategic, and administrative support of multiple program areas such as training, quality control, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace and procedures, plans and programs, operational automation, military operations, special and security operations, safety management system, safety reporting and other areas of specialty identified collaboratively at the local level. The work requires a comprehensive knowledge of the ATC field and familiarization with the many integral components of the industry which comprise the National Airspace System. Specialists must have the ability to apply this knowledge to the analysis, evaluation and development of new methods, studies, approaches, and procedures. This Supervisory Transportation Security Inspector position is located in Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Work independently under limited supervision with responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance of persons and transportation systems and entities regulated under Title 49 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 1500 series.

As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Specialist, GS-2101-11, you will administer refresher and advance training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors. Instruct same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advise when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. Interview assigned enlisted AOC personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties. Prescribe type, sequence, and extent of required training. 1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. Conducts an information program to elicit support and involvement in fire prevention, detection, and suppression. Secures client interest through emphasis of pertinent fire prevention topics and developing messages from actual fire incidents.

2. Performs regular and periodic fire protection inspections for all areas of the installation where the potential severity and expectancy for fire is high and involves hazards that are difficult to recognize and, once identified, require advanced or innovative methods to reduce or eliminate them.
