What to Expect
- Serves in a trust and confidence position, possesses and maintains competencies in the area of employment, education, vocational/technical, and personal financial management disciplines, and provides information, advice and guidance to Marines and their families.
- Conducts, organizes and provides program analysis and economic analyses to ensure functional needs are met for programs and services.
- Recommends corrective actions and supports follow up inspections. Assists in the development of plans for current and projected programs to achieve goals and objectives.
- Collects, verifies and adjusts data from diverse sources and performs qualitative analysis. Prepares reports and input for budgets for the personal and professional development programs.
- Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, signing timesheets, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment.
- Maintains the standards of achievement that are necessary in meeting the demands of occupations, education opportunities, technical training, or personal financial management for which students are being prepared. Collaborates with other programs within Marine and Family Programs.
- May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical workweek and work hours. May require travel to complete work assignments.
- This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
