Housekeeper based at Lauriston, St Leonards-on-Sea

Available Hours:

Permanent - Full Time - 40 hours per week.

We are looking for a proactive and forward thinking individual who has a passion for quality housekeeping. As part of a committed team you will contribute to the support offered to MHA residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout our vibrant Care Home.

As Lauriston's Housekeeper you will be responsible for the stock control and delivery of cleaning materials and equipment.

As a successful candidate you will organise, supervise and manage our ancillary team to ensure all hygiene standards are met and therefore contributing to the welcoming and warm feel of this home.

Respect for older people alongside previous Housekeeping experience is essential for this role.

At Lauriston, we provide residential, nursing and residential dementia care for 60 residents, in purpose-built, en suite accommodation. Being close to the coast, it's a wonderfully calm and welcoming space, where we offer personalised care in a warm, supportive and safe environment.

• You will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of any branch/subordinate level engineers and related technical support personnel; as assigned by FST.
• You will determine the best approach to resolve complex technical engineering problems. identify programmatic constraints involved with each problem and develop the solutions.
• You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of modifications and schedule maintenance requirements for the program.
• You will prepare correspondence, technical reports, and instructions for submittal to the FST leadership, other activities and contractors as may be required.

• Serves as DeCA consultant to interpret and supply advise on construction, maintenance or repair policies and regulations
• Provides technical expertise and consulting services to DeCA staff; commissary store managers and base/installation engineering personnel on all engineering matters related to the maintenance, repair and construction of commissary facilities
• Provides support to Agency planning, project programming, design and construction activities for DoD commissaries
• Prepares or monitors the preparation of draft and final, project scope, preliminary cost estimates, and statements of work for Maintenance Contracts
• Serves as Chief lnspector to monitor contractor performance on facility maintenance or repair contracts.

What to Expect  

• Serves in a trust and confidence position, possesses and maintains competencies in the area of employment, education, vocational/technical, and personal financial management disciplines, and provides information, advice and guidance to Marines and their families.
• Conducts, organizes and provides program analysis and economic analyses to ensure functional needs are met for programs and services.  
• Recommends corrective actions and supports follow up inspections.  Assists in the development of plans for current and projected programs to achieve goals and objectives.  
• Collects, verifies and adjusts data from diverse sources and performs qualitative analysis.  Prepares reports and input for budgets for the personal and professional development programs.
• Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, signing timesheets, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. 
• Maintains the standards of achievement that are necessary in meeting the demands of occupations, education opportunities, technical training, or personal financial management for which students are being prepared.  Collaborates with other programs within Marine and Family Programs.  
• May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical workweek and work hours.  May require travel to complete work assignments.  
• This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.  
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Plans, Facility Reduction Plan, Housing, Facilities Management, Minor Construction, Utility Services Acquisition, Pest Control, Real Property administration (including acquisition and disposal as required), etc.
• Works under the general supervision of the Director, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Support Directorate.
• As Director, Public Works, incumbent directs and integrates the activities of the ISD. Enforces HQIMCOM ISD priorities; plans work to be accomplished by subordinate activities; and develops performance plans for subordinates.
• Develops and defends DA-funded construction programs (MCA, MCD, BMDO, RDT and E).
• Ensures compliance with Army energy conservation policies. Prepares and submits the annual Installation Status Report.
