We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to join our Entrust team as a Senior Governance Professional. You will be providing support, guidance and advice to our team of Clerks to Governors from across the UK ensuring that they are able to provide the best possible service to the schools that they support. You will schedule the clerks to ensure that all clients are covered and also be there to provide clerking support to the schools to cover occasionally when needed
We are looking for someone with knowledge of the education sector and ideally some experience of clerking for schools, someone who has a passion for providing a first class service and supporting those around them to do the same.
What you'll be doing:
• Support the Governor Services Clerking Team with advice and guidance, identifying development needs and arranging relevant training when needed
• Arranging the induction for new Clerks including pay claims, travel etc.
• Organise observation, shadowing and supervised sessions for new clerks
• Co-ordinating clerks' attendance at briefings
• Being the GovernorHub Champion - training for new clerks, training for schools, demos for schools, liaison with GH, setting schools up on GovernorHub once their info has been received.
• Co-ordination of the Governor Services Training Programme
• Clerking for LGB/Trusts, as needed, including emergency cover
• To write and deliver termly briefings for Clerks
• Lead clerking QA process, ensuring that the work of all clerks is reviewed in accordance with the QA schedule and policy. This will include leading a termly 'moderation' meeting with Clerk Team Leads to ensure that minutes are QA'd appropriately and consistently.
What we're looking for:
• Educated to degree level desirable
• Education sector background
• Ideally some people management experience
• Experience in clerking for school governors
