We are looking for an individual to join our dynamic team, to train and become a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
To be considered for this position you must hold at least THREE (3) GCSEs at grade 4/C (or above) in English, Mathematics and a Science subject. Functional Skills in English and Maths will be considered as a suitable academic equivalent.
Any applicants with international qualifications must have a ENIC formally NARIC comparability report issued, with the minimum standard specified above.
Once enrolled on the learning programme, you will be learning and working to complete a two-year apprenticeship within pharmacy leading to a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice. You will be required to undertake distance learning and attend face to face study days. In the workplace you will complete a comprehensive in-house training programme provided by our own team. You will have the opportunity to rotate through the different areas within Pharmacy.
You must be self-motivated, willing to work hard, flexible with proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Excellent communication and IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to travel between the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust sites is essential.
The successful candidate will enrol onto an apprenticeship or non-apprenticeship qualification depending on eligibility.

The pharmacy trainee will learn about Pharmacy services, under the guidance, direction, control or supervision of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other staff to practice the skills of a Pharmacy Support Worker.
Throughout the training programme, the post holder will work through Pharmacy Inpatients, Outpatients and Stores/ Distribution and undertake a course of study and assessment with a chosen educational provider.

Note:
Qualified staff will be full Band 3 salary, non-qualified will be Band 3 apprentice wage.
- Qualified PSW - Band 3: ÂŁ28,622 - ÂŁ30,225 inc of HCAS
- Non-qualified PSW - Band 3 annex 21: ÂŁ22,522.80 incl of HCAS - for the duration of the apprenticeship
