The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to develop and implement aircraft maintenance work plans and schedules to ensure the effective and efficient accomplishment of required maintenance and coordination in support of unit operational flight scheduling. Additionally, provides training to reservist in the accomplishment of the tasks set forth herein.

Duties:
1. Develops maintenance plans for assigned aircraft and associated equipment. Develops preliminary operational schedules (utilization plans) and provides the Operations Group with an estimate of maintenance support capability to meet operational requirements
2. Implements maintenance plans through the development and publication of maintenance schedules to include scheduled and unscheduled repair actions, time-sensitive inspections or modifications, component time change replacement and aircraft or system inspections
3. Responsible for maintaining Data Documentation to include Aircraft Maintenance Historical Documentation, Aircraft Jacket Files, Aircraft Document Reviews. Coordinates the implementation of the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) Program, to include the application of individual TCTOs
4. Serves as Aerospace Vehicle Distribution Officer (AVDO) to include the overall responsibilities for the maintenance and reporting of aircraft inventory and status/utilization for all assigned aircraft.
5. Monitors configuration management of the unit aircraft. Provides unit managers the capability to determine the actual versus approved configuration of an aircraft or equipment. Conducts training and skill level progression of assigned Air Force Reserve production schedulers

• Perform gardening tasks following seasonal schedules and project plans.
• Operate a variety of gasoline and diesel powered farm type tractors and vehicles.
• Utilize a variety of gardening equipment, hand and power tools in the performance of gardening maintenance duties.

• Operates one or more types of heavy gasoline or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment
• Operates motor grader on flat or rolling terrain where exact specifications are required in grading unpaved roads for surfacing with clay and gravel
• Drives various vehicles (e.g., utility truck or similar vehicle (primarily under 10,000 gross vehicle weight) to and from the work site

• Receives, examines and determines the condition and disposition of a wide variety of materials.
• Reviews disposal turn-in document accompanying material. Compares data against property assuring correct information and proper documentation (e.g. stock number, nomenclature, quantity, unit of issue, disposal authority code, DEMIL, condition code).
• Visually inspects usable property for obvious signs of condition and determines acceptability.
• Determines condition and reportability and special handling requirements (e.g., hazardous material, precious metals, security, DEMIL, Special focus items, etc.) and assigns appropriate classification instructions for warehousing.
• Verifies accuracy of demilitarization codes, takes action to challenge questionable items/codes, and maintains segregated storage of property requiring DEMIL.
• Ensures proper certification is attached to turn-in document when demilitarized by host or generating activity.
• Performs special and periodic inventory of property; re-palletizes/re-locates property as necessary.
• Operates forklifts and related materials handling equipment to move, load and unload, stack or un-stack palletized materials, supplies, and equipment.

Duties include but not limited to:

Utility System Repair:

• You will install, recognize the problem or cause of faulty equipment, and making repairs on a variety of electric and gas hot water boilers and their compressors, condensers, coils, fans, electrical/air operated control systems.
• You will install, modify, and repair by setting up piping routes and equipment locations, placing and cutting openings in floors, walls, and ceilings that may be constructed of concrete, wood, plaster, metal, etc. Shall perform work typical of a journeyman plumber; shall install, modify, and repair utility systems and equipment such as water, gas, and supply, drain, condensate return and vent lines.
• You will be responsible for developing a good working knowledge of the Department of Veterans Affairs boiler safety directive 1810 and other applicable VA policies and procedures.
• You will perform major and minor repairs to equipment and operate in accordance with VA regulations and directives, facility policies, local standard operating procedures and good engineering practice.
• You use equipment instruction sheets, blueprints, drawings, and oral or written instructions. Performs work using tools of the general mechanic trade, pipe wrenches, gas welding torches, grinders, drill presses, small hand tools, and electrical diagnostic meters.

• You will make periodic visual checks of equipment to ensure proper operation; operates manual and automatic control instruments and high pressure gas/oil fired boilers required for continuous Boiler Plant Operation.
• You will checks and make adjustments to feed water regulators and pumps. Checks steam, airflow, gas, and/or oil meters and fuel gas-temperature records. Fires on oil eight hours or more each month. Fires up or takes boilers offline. Frequently checks water levels and steam pressure gauges; opens intake valves to add water or to blow off steam. Ensures proper operation of heat recovery system to maximize heat recovery and minimize thermal pollution.
• You will calculate treatment requirements, making determination of required chemicals to be added to boilers and de-aerating tank to treat water or control corrosion/scale formation.
• You will accomplish system/equipment repairs or adjustments noting technical difficulties in system/equipment operations (e.g., rerolls tubes; repairs refractories and pumps; replaces fan motors; dismantles/cleans/repacks valves, pistons, and/or seals; mounts, connects, and adjusts transformers, motors, electrodes, relays; solenoids, rheostats, aqua-stats, stack switches, and/or ducts.
• You will operate and test fire/disaster alarm equipment and emergency communications. Services key role in sounding station fire/disaster alarms and maintaining emergency communications with local public safety offices/officials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Isolation of Hydro Scheme & power station infrastructure (to level of IO training)
• Support the Lochaber Hydro Operators where required.

• Represent management as the direct interface between Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield, the Army Field Support Battalion, and the Defense Logistics Agency representatives for all matters concerning petroleum supply and distribution requirements.
• Operate and maintain a complete mechanical fuels distribution system to include the airfield's Oasis aircraft hot refueling point.
• Verify the daily physical inventory from eight refuel tankers and five above ground storage tanks by means of tapes, bob, and petroleum detecting paste to determine the quantity of fuel on hand.
• Responsible for requesting the ordering of bulk F-24, when needed, to maintain mission readiness for Department of Defense aircraft.
• Direct the receipt and transfer of F-24 from commercial tank trucks to storage tank.
• Serves as an Airfield Hazardous Materials Representative for Waste and Contaminated Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricant with Fort Drum on hazardous materials issues.
• Operates aircraft de-icing equipment consisting of a 66,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW) hi-reach with a 78-foot-high boom and a mobile high lift vehicle with a 120-foot-high boom with open bucket for large, fixed wing aircraft.

• Provides creative leadership and management on assigned filmed projects as part of the Production Studio function at the National Gallery, acting as a senior department leader for creative production best practices. Develops creative production and post-production strategy for assigned projects, including agreeing and owning key performance indicators for setting and meeting production and delivery benchmarks. In line with the Gallery’s strategic priorities, leads the creative production and post-production strategies for assigned video, tv, and film projects,guiding decisions to make the biggest impact with available resources.

• Operates a large variety of vehicles ranging from single body sedans, vans and light to heavy trucks through to tractors with trailers up to 45 feet in length.

Makes all adjustments to equipment to ensure proper settings, connections, and mechanical soundness of equipment. Observes all safety rules and regulations pertaining to vehicle operation. Performs operator maintenance on field-type tractors and related equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Major Duties:
On a recurring basis, operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds and road medians and/or perform farming functions. The incumbent frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical controls.

Equipment operated may include mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades, and backhoes. This equipment may be powered by direct drive or a power takeoff. Work may involve taking multiple mechanical and hydraulic connections between the towed or attached equipment and the tractor and make numerous equipment adjustments. Incumbent works on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, parks, orchards, lawns, and along roadways.

As required, uses the fertilizer spreader to apply fertilizers as needed during the year. utilizes the aerator as needed on established turf. Uses auger, when needed to bore holes as required. Pulls plowing disc, to break dirt crust as needed. May level ground to give an even grade within boundaries as required.
