PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as Training and Exercise Planner; providing planning, analysis, design, development implementation, and evaluation of training events for both internal and external audiences. Assist with the execution of the Joint Exercise Program to sustain joint force readiness throughout the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility. Develop, plan, and prepare to execute battle staff training and exercises for Headquarters, USCENTCOM, Service Component, and Joint Task Force Staffs to prepare for current and future missions including crisis and steady state operations.

DUTIES:

1. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the USCENTCOM training and exercise program.
2. Represents USCENTCOM at a variety of DoD and Joint Staff senior-level meetings.
3. Provides input to leadership concerning policy guidance and the development and execution of combined military exercises and training requirements in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.
4. Assists with the development of budgets for the Exercise Program.

• You will analyze the space management of facilities to determine the impacts of facility changes on supported activities.
• You will conduct technical reviews of facilities planning and real property products (i.e., Basic Facilities Requirements [BFRs], Facilities Support Requirements [FSRs]) to determine if objectives are met.
• You will coordinate facilities and real property project meetings to fulfill current and future planning and data management requirements.

• Involved in planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of complex activities to assess the wing/center Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP), and the Exercise and Evaluation Program.
• Performs thorough analysis of unit capabilities versus inspection requirements to determine the most efficient exercise, inspection, and visit schedules which minimize costs and maximize unit readiness.
• Facilitates logistical and administrative support needed for the execution of MAJCOM IG Team travel.
• Implements and administers the Personnel Security Program for the Directorate.

Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Policy and Plans Specialist in the Strategy, Policy and Plans Directorate under North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Conducts comprehensive planning to meet Secretary of Defense (SecDef) and Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) strategies and plans in support of national security objectives. Prepares and coordinates policy and analysis input to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Joint Staff on a myriad of Homeland Defense, Aerospace Defense, Civil Support, Security Cooperation, and DoD globally synchronized or supported strategies and plans.

Duties:

• Develops and coordinates strategic/operational level policy and plans, in response to SecDef and CJCS direction, through the CJCS Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS) in support of national objectives.
• Writes, develops, edits, and revises documents, formal briefings, instructional papers, meeting notes, articles and formal documents in support of the NORAD and USNORTHCOM missions and functions, and Commander directed special initiatives and projects.
• Evaluates National and DoD policy, doctrine, strategy and planning documents to ensure NORAD and USNORTHCOM integration and compliance.

• The primary duties required are those necessary for the journeyman planning, provisioning, executing, evaluating, and reporting of testing of aircraft and their mission planning systems and capabilities.
• Incumbent is responsible for the management, maintenance, and administration of classified and unclassified information systems, devices, and computers to ensure compliance with applicable DoD and USAF requirements.
• Incumbent participates in, and assures integrated test program support for design reviews, Test Plan Working Groups (TPWG), and other test planning activities.
• The incumbent develops and applies appropriate and innovative analysis methods and techniques to the evaluation of the system under test.
• This position develops, prioritizes and reports on organization performance goals and objectives.

• Performs mission planning database files downloads and system updates to keep mission planning systems and aircraft aeronautical data current
• Provides mission planning subject matter expertise to the developmental test and evaluation team. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of Technical Orders and aeronautical charts and data
• Maintains current knowledge of computer operating systems, networking, and DoD computer security practices
• Provides training to new engineers on mission planning requirements and software, as needed

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assists in development, coordination, and implementation of B2B initiatives aimed at improving Veterans services and fostering partnerships with external organizations.
• Oversees vendor relationships and manages supplier contracts while evaluating price, quality, service, reliability.
• Responsible for identifying and maximizing opportunities with internal VA entities and act as the primary point of contact to address inquiries and provide timely assistance.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Department to source compelling product for various customers.
• Mange program related documentation, maintain data bases, and ensure the time processing of reports, invoices, and other essential records.
• Ensure compliance with government funds, promotional funds, and incentive awards.
• Oversees the Order Management System, ensuring accurate entry of UPCs, vendor information, product descriptions, and cost and selling prices.

• This position supports the Range Environmental Planning Branch which is tasked with the integration of environmental considerations into the military mission planning process.
• The employee acts as the Test Wing GIS program manager and as a liaison to other AAC organizations and Air Force installations which are involved in establishment of GIS standards and policies for the Air Force and the Department of Defense.
• Act as the coordinator for data collection contracts.
• Manage resources from multiple budgets to provide a unified acquisition and maintenance program.
